So, I know from first hand experience that the Plasma Launcher’s shot are vulnerable to fire. But i was wondering if the case is the same for the Rocket launcher; Has anyone ever witnessed incoming fire stopping a rocket?
As for the Plasma Launcher, I shot down four plasma shots in a Falcon turret on spire. When this madness started(which left me yelling like Rambo at my TV) I saw the four coming in from below, in my gun range. At first I was relieing on my friend to manuever us away when i drew his attention to them. When I saw them getting too close, I decided to shoot at them; Just a shot of defiance. A shot of Defiance that made a lightbulb flash above my head when one of the Plasma shots exploded. I kept shooting and took down all four, Though the last exploded in my face; killing me but not hurting the Falcon too badly.
I’m not sure on the specifics for hitting the Plasma shots, but as far as i’m aware it requires perfect aim and spray on their trajectory. I’ve yet to be able to accomplish it a second time, Tried in a Warthog turret; but we were killed anyways by them. Suppose the Spread on the Falcon turret helps with that somewhat, The Warthog is precise in it’s shooting.
I’ve never actually had the oppurtunity to try this on a Rocket. I usually don’t see them coming on Spire.
Yes you can shoot rockets out of the air with a headshot capable weapon, yet to do so with an AR-type weapon.
Explosions will either deflect or detonate the rocket as well.
But with an LMG, yet to do so either.
Yep ive done it. Usually shooting someones rocket just after it comes out of the tube making them blow themselves to bits. Some would call it RANDUM AND UNFAIRZ, i call it hilarious. You can shoot grenades down too. You can even stick an incoming frag with a plasma which will then carry the frag AND the plasma back to the guy who threw it. I think i did that once.

Yeah, i’ve been quilty of blowing up frags in peoples faces a few times too. The first time was just a random explosion that left me blinking for a moment. Here and there the timing of your shots come into perfect harmony with their throw and boom.
I had practically forgotten that the Rockets were effected by Explosions like in Halo 3. Whenever I see the rocket it tends to be up in my face or some such.
