With not much going on, I thought I would ask a question that I assume all of us can answer.
Every time a new game comes out, what ever the genre may be, it always seems like people have a plan of what they want to do when they start up the game for the first time. Since we have time before Infinite comes out I was curious what everyones plans were once Infinite is available. I know some people will dive right into multiplayer, others will try to beat the campaign before anything else, and some may get together with friends for a little release party and co/op.
Basically, I’m asking what are your guys plans for the day when you can play Halo Infinite?
For me, I’ll be diving into the campaign on Heroic difficulty and trying to complete as much as I can before I pass out.
Firstly I’m not coming on this forum or the Halo subreddit until I finish the game. And even then nobody’s going to tell me what to think about it. I already know that 100%, no matter how good the game is or who’s behind the helm, this forum and reddit are going to become a “343 bad” echo chamber. “343 didn’t put little lights on Spartan armor, it’s not Halo anymore make Halo -Yoinks!-”, etc. I know this is how things will always be and always have been, doesn’t mean I won’t point it out. Entitlement veins strong in these forums.
But in general, just have fun. And if it’s a success, even if it picks up the Fortnite/COD kids, ride the wave with them.

Are you accusing the halo community of being close minded? No way dude! I don’t believe it!

I know, this will make front cover of New York Times
Campaign first, get a feel for the game, then some multiplayer. I usually split it up, alternating between campaign and multiplayer. I’ll probably play the campaign several times through. And of course FORGE!!! Definitely looking forward to seeing what forge is capable of in Infinite. Also, they say they will continue to build on the game for 10 years, hopefully most of the add ones will be free, but I’ll probably get them either way. And definitely stay off forums until I finish campaign, don’t want any spoilers, or to have an opinion of the game until I play it.

Forgot about not checking the forums or reddit. I got spoiled on other game the same way, and because of YouTube thumbnails. Good reminder for any game release really.
It is kinda neat to see how others have a similar plan of what they want to do first in Infinite.
I’ll go campaign first, but if it ends up being something like far cry 2 I might end up jumping to the multiplayer, I’ll still attempt to finish the campaign though.

Forgot to mention that! Literally submerge myself in everything halo.

What’s a true Halo fan ? How people play games does not equate to being true fans. A player will boot up on the difficulty they’re most comfortable with. A fan is a fan, fact.
If I buy Halo Infinite I might play campaign first, it’s what I usually do.
Heroic Campaign, it’s the sweet spot imo. Not too difficult not too easy. Gives me the right amount of ability to mess around and explore as well. Imo Legendary doesn’t quite do that, you put Legendary on cuz you’re hell bent for a challenge and deemed to get frustrated much more, I’m not trying to be macho… I just want to enjoy the campaign aka how they say “it’s meant to be played” lol.

This pretty much. That is, if I will buy the game (which I think I will, despite my current disappointments)
Of course as with every Halo I have ever played, even from my humble beginnings on CE, I start out on Normal, and first take in the sights from what I have seen over the years Halo is truly something astonishing and the world its in is even more Beautiful, such as Halo 2 the mission Delta Halo your surrounded by amazing jungles on a island with temple ruins that are fascinating to look at, or the mission Regret were your over the ocean and eventually go in a elevator that takes you through the ocean and you can see all types of different ocean life, truly something to marvel at. After I take everything in I start off the campaign looking for something probably a terminal or maybe a skull nearby then fight the enemy after I get a good taste of it and its enemy’s I play it on heroic, the way halo is supposed to be experienced once I complete the game on heroic I finish it on legendary and continue to play it until I die.

I already do this whenever new Warframe content comes out. Gotta avoid those spoilers. I’m pretty sure I’ll be doing the same with Infinite, get my own opinion before I hear everyone else’s.

Yeah I like the look of the gameplay, the graphics aren’t great and I’m skeptical of the story, but I’ll definitely buy the game as long as they keep it available on Xbox one.

Same but I might get it on PC. And ngl if the marketing keeps disappointing I might wait for a sale
