Plans for a Title Update???

TL;DR at the top! WARNING, old man rant after

Are there plans to undo the weapons tuning? Perhaps the forums aren’t the place to ask this, but I don’t really have another outlet. I would love to hear from a developer, but that’s highly unlikely.

Almost every pro Halo player, almost every Halo YouTuber has come out to speak against the weapon tuning. Halo 5 is unplayable now for me since. The population is a joke and has gotten worse since. What’s the plan here, fellas? I love Halo, but this is bad.

Ya know, I’m 40 years old. I’ve been playing Halo since the beginning. I play other games, but I’m always drawn back to Halo. There’s no telling how much money I’ve dropped just for Halo. Multiple consoles from every generation (probably going to get a third Xbox One soon with the X), multiple controllers (I’m on my second Elite controller), multiple headsets (gonna get the new Triton when it drops), multiple TV’s and monitors (gonna upgrade to 4k with the X), years of XBL, all the DLC’s, and I’ve been given a decent product that has been destroyed by an “update.”

This is worse than the MCC debacle. Here, buy this $60 game that you can’t play matchmaking with. Deal with it for months. Oops, our bad. Here’s a free $10 for a month of XBL. Thanks for the $50, consumer!

This is reminiscent of Halo 2 prior to it’s Title Update. When aimbots we’re rampant, and plasma pistols shot rockets.

Please 343i, fix this. Do something to make me want to play Halo again.

The population shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise since Halo is over two years old. I’m actually quite impressed that I can still find matches in most if not all playlists. That being said the ranked matchmaking can feel a bit unfair at times.

More or less what you said. I don’ actually mind the new weapons. I would like to see the br tweaked a bit though, as now I don’ really ever swap my magnum for the BR. I used to swap it depending on the map, now I don’t even use it.

They’re really going to tune the weapon tuning? I’m not sure how I feel about that

If it’s to make the Br usable again, I’ll be ok with it

They seem to have done a ton of work to get it where it is at. However, I agree, I liked it as it was before, but maybe because I got so used to it.

Well tbh it being 2 years old and having this low of a populations was surprising to me though my mindset is still at old games I guess. Halo 3 and reach good examples of a healthy playlist for 3 or so years (less on reach though)

I wouldn’t mind if the BR fired just a slight bit faster but over all I think the weapon tuning was fine. Many being way to dramatic over not very big changes. If anything it just made the AR a bit harder to use and you have to be extra careful in the banshee and use cover more often. Other than that it wasn’t major changes.

For me it’s the randomness that’s been added to the weapons that I dislike , make it harder by all means I’m ok with that increase the skill gap. Sounds good . Why not reduce range, red reticle ,aim assist? instead some of the shots seem to pull so even when the reticle is over the largest mass it misses ( that just feels random ) but more annoyingly is that yet again another update breaks the game. Why can’t 343 change one thing without breaking several more? At this point I would rather they leave it alone for consistency, or just maybe fix some bugs so the overall quality of the game is increased. Add another couple maps add some new game modes ( more than just oddball which should of been there at launch btw ) and that would of seen the longevity of this game through to the next halo title. Seems simple to most in the community but apparently 343 struggle to make the simplest decision maybe hiring people that dislike halo hasn’t helped.

I guess I just can’t understand why after all of the negative feedback, that anyone would go ahead with this. It makes no sense. The game was fine the way it was.
