Plans for a Digital Download Version of H4?

Does anyone know if Microsoft/343 plan on releasing a Digital Download version of Halo 4?

I have a digital version of Reach and it’s the only way I want to purchase games in the future! I’ve installed it on all 4 of my consoles. Now I never need to move a disk from box to box or hear the disk drive spin up. I will buy the game on launch day regardless but would prefer to just download it.

Most likely,but don’t expect it to be released on Halo 4 Official release date.
(that’s if you meant on Xbox Marketplace)

I prefer physical editions myself, but I have to wonder why Microsoft wouldn’t release it day 1 on the XBLM. For one they would make more money. They wouldn’t pay for manufacturing, shipping, distribution and retailers. All the profits would back to them. If it was cheaper on the marketplace and not jacked up to retail prices, more people would buy it and Microsoft makes more money. Better for everyone involved. People want retail still can, and people that want digital can without waiting. Makes sense to me at least.

I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon but I suspect that yes, eventually, it will be available for download.

I Totaly agree. Release them together. They will likely make more of a profit from the Digital version.

Reduced price would be nice but lets be realistic!!

After awhile it’ll probably become available on the Xbox Live marketplace for download. But, wouldn’t you just install it onto the HDD instead of buying it digitally?

I agree with your statement, the only reason I can see this not happening is because maybe the have deals or contracts with smaller companies that make the case, disc etc. And can’t break that. That’d put people outta jobs…but that’s a different story. Regardless I think it’d be a lot easier to just download the game =)
