Planning a release party, how will mp work?

I am planning a release party for the game.
I’ve got 3 Xboxes and 3 copies of reach.

Still unclear on how the multiplayer will work. Will I need 3 Halo CEA discs too?

people really need to look up their information. The maps will be sold to reach buyers practically through DLC. Which should be announced around the launch of game. For people that have anniversary, will probably have to install reach onto their harddrive

Yes

Yup. There’s going to be a code that allows you to download the new maps so that you can play them alongside your Reach disc seamlessly, but it will only work for one Xbox.

You do not have to have Reach to play the multiplayer. You can play it on the CEA Disc, but you’ll only get the 7 new maps. If you want to play all the maps together you can download the maps off of the CEA disc and play them on the Reach disc with the rest of the maps (alternatively you can install Reach to your hard drive and play all of the maps on the CCEA disc).

AHHH! Crazy talk!

I would think that releasing MP maps via DLC at the same time as Halo CEA launch would deter purchase of the game. I’m speaking from a purely marketing point of view.

A code with the game would make sense, and would allow holding out direct DLC purchases until they think they’ve sold enough CEA product.
This would allow a GT and console linked download, so I could use the maps on two xboxes at the same time.

An install off the disc seems unlikely, as one disc could roam the Earth installing willy nilly.

However, I’m not looking for speculation, probibilities, or history. I just want to know what I should buy launch night, so I can have a party for 12 multiplayers over 3 xboxes on an system link setup.

Just the facts, show me the money.
