I have seemingly been in the majority when it comes to Halo 5 and not having problematic updates. I’ve rarely encountered the issues players say they have plastered all over the forums. However, after this now the 2nd day of playing on this new update…
…I’m not happy. Something has impacted the way in which the game handles the sensitiveness of my aiming and registering shots. I’m also now being plagued with a “Join-In-Progress encountered a problem” error when searching as a team in Ranked playlists…which don’t even feature JIP. This is starting searches immediately in a fresh lobby, after multiple game restarts, and Xbox Hard Shutdowns. Hardwired connection. 0% packet loss with 128mbps download and 20mbps upload on 42ms latency. It’s not a problem with my “connection” or on my end. I’ve had 0 issues since day 1 until literally when this update installed.
Something is seriously wrong here, and if this is what it’s going to be like trying to play Halo 5, then I’m more than likely going to quit. I’ve been an avid player since Halo 2 and have thousands of hours racked up over the years. The fact that my aiming now feels broken and sluggish is a huge turn off and the fact that people literally eat bullets each match now just causes immense frustration. Plus, the now-constant “JIP-issue-in-a-non-JIP-playlist-environment” is adding to that frustration.
I know I’m not the only one experiencing this, right?
