Hi guys, I just got my rank in team arena after completed the first 10 games.
The game somehow gave me the “platinium 1” rank, and my friend got onyx. How can that be ? We have the same W/L, did the same games, and I have a better KDA than his. I’m also playing objectives oc.
This is disgusting.
I understand that it may seem chidish, but it’s sooo annoying. At least if we were both diamond we could have work our way together to onyx.
Did you both complete your ten games together? Your CSR adjusts according to the CSR’s of your opposition. Losing a match against Gold players (or unranked players with lower win rates) will have a greater impact than losing to Diamond players. You both may have the same number of losses, but if your occurred against a lower-leveled team, then your resulting placement will take a hit.
Hmm, I’ll have to investigate this more. Maybe find something that will help me dial in on how placement occurs. This actually happened to me during the beta, I had significantly better stats than a friend after playing our ten games together, but got stuck with Onyx (formerly Semi-Pro) while she classed out as Champion (formerly Pro).
