I believe that placement games should be removed and that the ranking should work like how it does in tetris. Everybody should start at bronze and go their way up, and if good enough can be boosted up.
The lower division players won’t be happy about that as they will just be consistently stomped on by players heading for bigger things.
The system as it is works perfectly fine and for the most part has been quite accurate in placements, anyone who claims otherwise can’t accept there own skill level.

it doesn’t work, out of 30 matches now i have had one good game, rest of them was decided at start
Isn’t that how it works anyways? I always thought there was a hidden rating, because everytime I’ve made a new account I’ve played really low level players, gradually increasing in skill level each time if you win.
Also was this thread just a thin attempt to brag about 31 kills? It’s been proven rank doesn’t matter in this game, there are terrible onyx 1900s and great diamond players who just go in alone and get crap luck with teammates.

You are playing with random players, so you have no communication and are unfamiliar with each other’s playstyles, tactics and skills.
Most players play Arena with stacks so they have that chemistry. Just because they lose doesn’t mean the players aren’t of that skill level.
Your teammates were unranked (doesn’t count), a low diamond outranked by everyone in the lobby and a low diamond that could of just had a bad game. I advise you look for a team.

So let me get this right, i need a team otherwise this game can’t match properly?
and there was no excuse for what happened that game, i was playing and quickly realised that all of the players should have been gold at best.

I must be godly then to be unranked and placed in games that the other team is full of diamonds and onyx players. pretty much why I do not play arena because I get an unfair team, no mater how hard I tried win after win going well past +10 in KD never ranked me higher then plate 1 but for 1 time then the next game I lost still had a positive KD and went right back down to plate 1. so I just stay in warzone and BtB now.

It helps to go into the game with a team, where communication and working together are the keys to winning in (imagine that) team-based games like Halo.
I would have assumed you would know that, since you seem to be touting your skills (or luck).
Placement games make sure that less-than-perfect players aren’t eternally steamrolled by tryhards loaded with Ritalin and Mtn. Dew that are trying to get to higher ranks.
