Anyone else feel like you are cursed during your placement matches?
I swear my game is only laggy or screwy during my placement matches which kills my initial placement =(
I haven’t played the new season yet, but I definitely feel your pain. I had struggles in my Fall season placements. In the end, I just try to enjoy and improve regardless of the outcome.
I always seem to get stuck with gold and platinum teammates against an onyx opposition (on my best day I’d say I’m around diamond). Very rarely do I get matched with people who are also in their placement matches.

Yea but if you’re a few levels below where you’re supposed to be it can cause bad habits. Case in point, I got booted out of 2 SWAT matches last season as the game started and got placed in Silver… I’m generally a Platinum player and it was miserable

I’m not getting curse or whatever, but my real problem is that I’m so much of an inconsistent player in Halo. I can hold my ground to Onyx one game and then lose to silver the next. Insteas of always being high platinum/low diamond kind of player, I’m switching all over the place going from Bronze to freaking Champion xD

I only vs people that are in their placement matches haha

Yea I know your pain. Once the 11th game rolls around the shots seem to magically come back
I finished last season at platinum 6, was 2 wins away from Onyx. I was pretty upset when the ranks reset; had no idea it was coming.
Then I lost 8 of the placement matches, regardless of how good I did (some matches 23 and 8 or something, and teammates would be at 2 and 17) and got placed in mid silver. Kinda funny though because I’m mostly dominating everyone in that rank, but still bitter I started this season ranked so low.
