> I agree with you, it is kinda unfair. You would think that they would have something on a global scale, but you have to think of logistics then. Do they sell these products in Germany, Japan, Outer Mongolia, Peru, Iceland or Greenland. I am quite sure that would turn into a negotiational nightmare for the marketing team. The only way to do it is through preorder, if you preordered you received 100 double xp matches, then people couldnt cheat by photographing bags or killing themselves with junk food and sodas, or in your case pizza, because thats healthy, wink, wink.
That is another thing that bugs me. Dorito’s, MtnDew, Pizza Hut? Kind of just playing into the over-weight, basement-dwelling gamer stereotype.
And to your other point about what would they sell in other countries, MtdDew is Pepsi Co, which obviously make Pepsi. That’s a lot more popular than MtnDew in most countries, and I’ve been to Germany, France and Spain (Not very well traveled for my ripe old age lol) and had no difficulty finding Pepsi.
Honestly though, the whole paying for double exp thing is a bit of a sell out, to me. I don’t see why people with more money than sense (lets face it, there’s a wealthy American kid with the full 200 games who doesn’t even like MtnDew) should rank up faster, unlock things faster and essentially have an advantage from day one. Double Experience weekends, while sometimes not so fun, was a much fairer way to do it.
