I have tried to get the pitchin a tent achievement but after even 120 seconds I do not get the achievement, I have tried not moving at all and moving within a small space and neither got me the achievement, so how do I get it
Alright, the achievement is kinda confusing. What I did, and I don’t know if this works, is do nothing! I literally hid, got up and went to do something. Came back a minute in a half later and moved and I got the achievement. I think it’s just that you can’t make the slightest move. And after a certain time just move and you’ll get it. That’s what I get from my experience. Hope it helps.

Try just putting the controller down. I did that, and just chatted with my friends in the Xbox party, and I got it.
I went into Exile Dominion. Hid in Charlie base for a minute without moving and I got it.
I accidentally got it yesterday after the update. I played a game, n the middle of a game, I took a dump, came back and went on with my day. Today I was looking at my achievements and noticed I got it yesterday. I never go AFK nor do I camp.

I guess you can call it one of those really crappy achievements we get sometimes.

Ah whateva, I ain’t complaining. It’s good for conversation piece.
It’s a bit tricky, but I figured it out. You need to get at least one kill before you start camping for it to unlock.
I know this may sound kinda silly, but I am not even going to try for this achievement out of principle. I am very disappointed that it was made an achievement in the first place. This is right up there with the camo glitch never getting addressed. All I can think of is there is someone who really loves to camp with camo that is making some of the key decisions.
I tried crouching for several minutes and it didn’t work. But then it worked while I was standing.
Find a MG use it and wait for a minute. Thats all I did
I went AFK to help Bring in Groceries mid-game, somehow didn’t die, Came back and Laughed cause I had forgotten about that Achievement.
Not sure if it is relevant, but I tried to get it half way through a game by just standing where I spawned and it didn’t work.
I then tried moving away from the spawn location to somewhere in the middle of the map, and it worked.
I’ve tried holding completely still for over a minute; nothing! I’ve heard the achievement is glitched…
This has got to be one of the dumbest achievements 343i has ever come up with.
I got it after getting a kill then standing (not crouching) still around a corner for a minute.
Its easy to get you don’t need a kill first you just can’t move for a minute don’t hit any buttons at all don’t move, nothing, you can take damage so long as it doesn’t move you. I did it crouched
Been wasting my time and valuable games trying to unlock this achievement.
It’s broken! Played a number of matchmaking games in the dlc without moving or touching the buttons, almost 10 mins collectively. Played btb on regular maps, too, and pretty much hid the entire game. SO wrong to make it an achievement, and worse for it to be bugged!
See? It’s crazy!
Just played a btb game on Ragnaroc, stood for 60 secs, nothing. Got ONE kill, went back to the base and stood for another 60 seconds, got the achievement. I had done this countless times before, but only now did it unlock! Whatever, two more achies to go!
Like another guy on here said he did, I sat on a turret at one of the bases on Exile. I was able to look around and shoot at other players and still got the Achievement after a minute.
