All it requires is for you to “camp one location for 60 seconds without dying”. Well, I’ve done this plenty, but it never works. I’ve sat in the exact same location for well over 2 minutes with no achievement.
Same for me and I’ve killed people while camping and still no unlock
I literally stood still once a game started and stood still for a good 75 seconds before the achievement popped.
Any movement at all AFAIK will void it, so if you’ve got a controller which likes to move your player when you’re not touching anything, you’ll likely not unlock it.

So it’s not really a camping achievement, it’s an AFK achievement?
I don’t know whether to laugh or be repulsed.
I sat in a corner of abandon for a while, no moving. I got the achievement.
Im currently in a game and I have on a timer 3:30 and I still havent gotten the achievement - I HAVE NOT MOVED
this achievements obviously a play on humour but, waiting for a minute without being killed and then not having it pop is annoying, so you have to repeat matches standing still
In exile, my friend was on a turret in a base and said he got it. We all took turns using it and it took about 70 sec but it popped for all of us. We had tried just standing in one spot for a few min but no of us could get it. This worked for us.
For me it took several tries, and it was well over a minute before the achievement popped (at least 90 seconds). A good place to get it (where I got mine) is on Longbow, as there is a cliff near the middle base where you can hide.
Played a SWAT game figurin’ the lack of radars would help.
Sat there for a solid two minutes. No achievement.
Debating trying again or waiting 'til I get the DLC itself, if I ever do.
I got it on the map Meltdown. I spawned in a Big Team Infinity Slayer match (maybe that has something to do with it?) and turned around and crouched in the far right back of the base. I think it isn’t just standing still, you have to be in an enclosed area, while crouching. That’s how I got it. ;D

you cant get the achievements with out the DLC
I sat in the same spot for 5 minutes and never got anything
I’m having the same problems. I sat still on Vertigo for about 4 minutes just now, and still no achievement.
The best way I’ve found to get it for my friends and I was to jump into Snipers and wait for a large map like Ragnarok where people want to stay on their base side. Run somewhere inside your base, crouch in a corner and hit the start button. Then just wait. Don’t touch anything. Chill out until your achievement pops up. Apparently the slow turn on controllers or any player movement will stop the achievement from popping up.
You get achievements just for standing still now? This game, man…
This is no lie, I once saw a post in a thread about stupid and pointless medals in Halo 4 and somebody actually said something along the lines of “One day your Spartan will get a reward just for standing around.” Not the exact words, but something like that.
Now it’s actually happened.

I tried this achievement all morning, but alas, it wouldn’t unlock. A friend of mine told me that the Xbox 360 controller has sensors underneath the analog sticks that detect small and unnoticeable movements.
To rectify the situation, I pulled the analog sticks back (for some, they get forced in when you click the analog sticks). After I did this, presto! I got the achievement. Hope this helps.
