Pistol?

The pistol was one of my favorite things in Reach, It was an example of bloom done right. It was versatile powerful and balanced. I really don’t want Halo 4’s close range encounters to boil down to AR rushing.

Has it been nerfed?

It seems to fill the same role as it did in Reach.

I haven’t heard anything recently about it, but back when MLG got to test the game it was said that it was a 6 shot kill instead of the 5 shot kill that Reach features. It also had an 8 shot clip as well back then.

If its 6 shot kill they should up the clip size. I know its meant to be a sidearm but since you can just as easily pick up a second “primary” there would be a reason for you to possibly want to keep the sidearm. Plasma pistol due to its EMP remains useful but if the magnum is too weak it would not be worth keeping in any situation. I’m not saying it should be as strong as a rifle (reach or CE), but it should at least be able to win in close range if the user doesn’t miss.

It has DMR bloom.
The Magnum seems worthless this time around. I’d much rather just have a Plasma Pistol, or run with a second primary.

ive seen some of the mlg gameplay seems a bit weaker but i wouldnt say worthless it works fine as a “oh crap my BR ran out of ammo have to switch” weapon

It has a nice fire rate… lol.

It will be the same as Halo: Reach, except the bloom will be nerfed down but with the AR dealing more damage and SR dominating, the Magnum will probably be as stupid as the Halo 3’s Magnum.

it seems to act like a last resort … just like what in Halo 3 … but the look and sound is awesome and I saw someone holding it with more than 100 bullets for ammo in Longbow
