What’s the main differences between these? It appears to take the same amount of shots for kill between the pistol and BR but I get the impression that the DMR is a little more powerful. The carbine appears to be the weakest but fastest shot. Any thoughts?
In my experience Magnum is good short to mid range, BR is better at mid to long range, DMR is good long range and carbine is just fun all round a bit like the light rifle

Pistol is five shots, has less range than the br. It is better up close and personal, but not as good at range.
BR. is 4. The Battle Rifle is the weapon everything else is adjusted according to.
DMR is five. Great at mid/long ranges, but you will likely lose to a br at mid or closer.
Light rifle is 4, 3 scoped in.
Carbine is 7 and has incredible auto-aim, rof, basically just spam the trigger to kill easily.
Not really the most efficient weapon, but I always feel more confident when I’m holding a DMR!

The Magnum is good for close to mid range engagements. The BR is good for mid range and can serve as a more powerful Magnum at semi close range. The DMR is mid to long range, avoid any fights lower than mid range with a DMR. The carbine is the covenant BR and the light rifle is the Promethean BR.
They all are kinda the same to me.
It’s just about what is comfy what you use.
My favourite weapon is the DMR because I don’t need to aim I just need to land all my shots perfect and the weapon helps me with it
Don’t forget the Lightrifle if you’re comparing all primary precision weapons.
I feel like the DMR is the most consistent and easiest to use out of all the precision weapons. The BR can kill faster then the pistol in the right hands. The carbine is surprisingly the fastest killing precision weapon, its just hard to use and get perfect kill medals with. And the pistol is the starting weapon, its consistent and isn’t that hard to use at mid range, but will still be out gunned most of the time by the other precision weapons.

ya, the lightrifle is probably one of the most underrated weapon in all of arena and war zone, it can kill faster then most of the precision weapons and nearly any range.
Gonna give it to my fave. The BR. Good all around rifle.
I had no idea the DMR was so weak. Seems kinda pointless then. If you’re trying to pick someone off from across the map, five shots is not at all practical.

I feel you, but I agree with a non power weapon having limited functionality. I honestly think the DMR should have stayed with a 12-round Magazine, as it was initially designed around team-shotting on larger maps (see Halo Reach) but hey, Bungie gave in to the noise.
