A pistol is a suport weapon, a faster option than reloading… The pistol should NOT be able to stand again a battle rifle, dmr, or an assault rifle… it just plainly should not be able to… I play matches were 45-60% of the kills in the game are form pistols. Thats NOT OK. you people call this competitive, I scoff at your arrogance

It is competitive, just because you dont like it, doesnt mean we all have to accomodate to your demands.
Halo 5 is the most balanced halo game ever, every single weapon (except maybe the plasma caster) has a purpose
Have to disagree with you. AR and SMG (or any full auto for that matter) shouldn’t be better than any precision weapon in a competitive Halo. People shouldn’t be rewarded for using a full auto. Is it balanced? Yes. Is it competitively viable? No.
Oh hey, it’s you again! Didn’t hold up to your “every day until it’s nerfed” promise, but props for coming back 3 months later in your ridiculous crusade fueled by preconceived notions gleaned from shooters that aren’t even in the same subgenre as Halo.
So in other words you can’t get over the Pistol’s role in the sandbox because it is shaped like a Pistol? That’s pretty shallow.
“Secondaries” have no place in the Halo sandbox.

Have you ever played CS:GO? Desert Eagle? It’s a large caliber handgun. Look it up. The notion that a Spartan couldn’t use a large caliber handgun and do significant damage is ridiculous. The pistol is one of the best things about Halo 5.
Again man? Don’t you remember the last six of these threads you made and had literally everyone of them smacked down by nearly every single person to post in your threads?
Pistol isn’t OP, not by a long shot, if anything it needs a buff to a 4sk (but in truth I would rather they just leave the sandbox alone as I feel the balance is near perfect)

Im gonna have to disagree with you myself, as precision weapons are called that because they specialise in granting precision shots at mid to long range. They will always suffer in close range due to the lack of a need for precision in close quarters combined with the generally lower fire rate of precision weapons. That’s where ARs and SMGs excel at: in close range combat. punching/spartan charging is also a viable substitute.

Sorry, but i dont like the idea of a 3 weapon game (BR, Sniper, Rockets) like H2 or H3 ( Even thought they were phenomenal for their time) i dont want to have 23 weapons that you cant use without crippling yourself.
I never really used the pistol in multiplayer in past halo games unless I am duel wielding. But I gotta say, the pistol in this game is absolutely magnificent. I switch out my AR for a BR and keep my pistol, and I be rolling through my games.

Your logic is asinine.
You aren’t looking at anything mechanical about the weapon itself. You’re judging it based on its cosmetic weapon model, which has no relevance to balance.
The same exact weapon reskinned as a rifle would still be overpowered in your eyes? No? Then it’s not overpowered.

Good thing the pistol isn’t nearly as powerful as a rifle in the game then, not even close

It’s halo, that’s all that needs to be said to be justified lol. Just about any weapon can be a primary to kill and each has their strength and weakness to them.
Halo’s pistol isn’t some weaksauce 9mm pea-shooter that most gamers are used to. It’s the M6H Personal Defense Weapon System, much more effective than most handguns you’ll find out there. You could say it’s the world’s biggest pistol or the world’s smallest rifle, either way it packs a punch, gets results, and isn’t going anywhere.

Because its a magnum. Its safe to assume its a higher calliber than most rifles in the game.
