Pistol is frustrating

I’ve beaten tons of pistol users with the BR or DMR. I think its fine where it is at. I don’t want to see any more tweaks on this damn pistol

its hard to get use to but it does get easy after like 30 games lol

Bring back the gunpower from Halo 3!

Spot on

One aspect of halo that made it halo was the one chosen precision weapon. For example, in H2 and H3 it was the BR. It wasnt until H4 when the precision weapons started clashing. I like the fact that 343 allows us to start with a precision weapon like the pistol that can stand up to the BR and DMR.

Too add to my previous comment, The range damage could be reduced, b/c its crazy losing to a pistol at long range when You have the DMR or BR…Especially in the arena game mode Breakout…

I use it as my backup paired with BR, say BR is way better.

Due to my clan restraints I am only permitted to use the Assault Rifle in all multiplayer matchmaking and custom games (regardless of game mode). The Magnum is a sidearm and thus should have reduced damage at range to encourage players to use the Assault Rifle in all medium to long range engagements. Fully automatic weapons are supposed to be used at range to eliminate hostiles that pose a threat to friendly comrades.

I completely agree, I’m a military recruit and I couldn’t put it better. My clan leader is always putting emphasis on the use on the MA5D individual combat weapon system (Assault rifle). This needs a lot of attention. PLS LIKE THIS!

y dont they have any pistol req cards besides that one power weapon pistol buck has in that caMPAIGN cutscene

I agree, the AR is not realistic enough for this game I don’t like it. As someone who just came off the forces I know that the AR should one hit.

I am replying simply for the post count.

Meow meow meow

Pistol is fine, just need to fight against it more to figure it out.

I agree, I play mostly swat and it ends up being a pistol sniping match…the range should definitely be reduced

It is actually very hard for me and i am not having the same problem.

The pistol is a mini sniper, only if you can use it correctly. (I ain’t great with it my self however aha)

I completely agree with you man. As an ex-Navy Seal myself I fully understand why the AR (Assault Rifle) should get a buff to a 5 bullet kill. If the AR were to get this buff it would make the AR a more realistic gun to represent automatic weapons in real life. In further detail I also agree with your statement that the Battle Rifle, Pistol and Snipe Rifle are too difficult to use in their current condition. Furthermore the aim assist should be increased for all these weapons or should have a damage reduction.

In summary I think the Assault Rifle along with other automatic weapons such as the Storm Rifle and Suppressor should get a huge buff to damage and range to contest with these other long range weapons.

If there is anyone who disagrees with my opinion you are most likely bad at Halo 5 or -Yoink!-. Feel free to request a 1v1 with me by messaging my GT.

Pistol is fine and can be easily out gunned by the other rifles. A skilled player can help close the gap and improve the pistoles use, but the balance is fine.

I like the pistols power

I like the pistol, but i’ve been lagging alot recently and it’s really thrown my aim down the drain

It’s a very good weapon but it takes a while to used to that’s all just keep using it and you will adjust.
