The pistol is really good but it does shoot kinda slow all you really have to go is throw nade’s and jump. It makes it harder for them to land shots on the head

I strongly dislike pistols. Especially in SWAT. They can be very inaccurate compared to the BR.
I don’t know what everyone else is talking about. The only time I ever use a pistol is if I am trying to make a kill and need to reload my AR. And then I normally don’t get the kill. So yeah. Not that OP for me.

I feel that the pistol is a good balance between the Halo CE and the Halo 3-4 pistol.
The frustrating thing, is when i get sniped across a map with a pistol. That thing is way too accurate, something needs to be done about that. A pistol shouldn’t be a substitute for a sniper rifle.
It does fill more power full than it did in the last two halo’s but up close an A.R can still come out on top, but at mid range your screwed if you don’t get the first shot in or the other guy sucks.
I like using the pistol. Very cool!
The pistol is pretty balanced when your in a gunfight with another Spartan. I do agree that the range is pretty overpowered for a pistol and the accuracy is pretty high.

The pistol definitely is more powerful in 5 than all the other games, and they should probably nerf it.
I say it’s fine where it’s at, because you can be outgunned.

But everybody have it why its frustrating?
I don’t have a problem with the pistol in most of the gametypes, but SWATNUMS comes up so often in the SWAT playlist that it’s making me hate the gun.
Maybe you should get good with it?

I completely agree.
As someone who has played halo from the very first game I feel that the Assault Rifle should mirror the damage of the Magnum. Due to my clan restraints I am only permitted to use the Assault Rifle in all multiplayer matchmaking and custom games (regardless of game mode). The Magnum is a sidearm and thus should have reduced damage at range to encourage players to use the Assault Rifle in all medium to long range engagements. Fully automatic weapons are supposed to be used at range to eliminate hostiles that pose a threat to friendly comrades.
I am an ex-marine myself and I mirror my former actions within the game and attempt to bring comradery and respect to the Halo 5: Guardians community. As well as this I indulge myself in military style game play in addition to the military standards upheld within my clan in previous Halo games such as: Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Spartan Assault, Halo Wars, Halo: Reach, Halo 4 and in future Halo Wars 2.
Returning from that tangent I feel the Assault Rifle (as previously mentioned - Line 1 Paragraph 1) should be a 5 bullet kill. This would enable players such as myself to enjoy the game to its full potential eliminating the need for overpowered and fun killing weapons such as the: Magnum, Battle Rifle, Designated Marksman Rifle, Storm Rifle and Sniper Rifle all of which require an inachieveable level of accuracy that you would not find in-real life scenarios or in people who do not have the privilege of my military background.
That is my opinion and without encroaching on the thoughts of other I feel this is the only logical train of thought.
