50 50 on the pistol
The pistol is spot on for competitive play. It’s the new BR. It’s as effective as how the BR was in previous halo’s minus the distance. The BR has become the DMR, and the DMR is pretty much a friggin sniper rifle now.
It’s balanced my friend.

Its a magnum! Technically one shot should kill you, maybe two at most sense you have armor on. Its not over powered so stop complaining. You are the 5th person I have seen complain about the magnum!
If I’m out in the open with a bit of range I’ll use my pistol, but if I’m inside a base or assaulting I’ll usually bring out my AR. I feel both are good weapons just need to be used in the right places. I still get out Bred or DMRed when using my pistol. I enjoy the pistol!
I don’t think there is a huge issue with the pistol to be honest.

The pistol in halo 5 has a very high skill gap.
