Its the range on the pistol that is frustrating. It can outgun a DMR and BR at every range except super long range due to the fire rate. It also seems like a problem that if you land all shots in the head, it beats an AR in close quarters.
People also complaining about the assault rifle being strong confuses me. It is an “Assault Rifle”, under its description for every halo, has classified it as a close to mid range monster. That is its point, to be effective in that range. Pistols are sidearms, intended to finish off opponents if you miss with a primary.
The pistols are fine to me…some people just have ally more practice with it and you do occasionally see the long range Pistol kill but it makes the game good
Pistol is a bit overpowered. AR shouldn’t be so weak.
So called “pro” gamers like their BRs though. Even though it isn’t a skill weapon its a power weapon.

The pistol is fine as is. Good tool in the hands of capable users and helps balance recently spawned players against enemies with BRs, DMRs, or power weapons.
I think it is pretty balanced now. It takes 5 shots to hill as opposed to the BR and DMR which take 4 shots. It has good range, but because of its fire rate, it would easily loose a close range battle against an AR or an SMG. I really don’t have any issues with it other than my own personal problem with aiming it properly, but I will get better over time.
Personally I want a Halo CE pistol req for warzone with the same damage and the 2x scope. I think that would be hilarious, maybe not as a loadout weapon though, or at least a more rare loadout variant.
Well the pistol is pretty strong and you can get decent kills with it if you have skill, however the br or dmr are alot stronger, i don’t like to brag but i get killing sprees and such when i pick up one of these and i prefer a nice pistol duel that involves skill than a random spray the ar fight, in conclution, they got the pistol just right in this halo
I trade in my pistol for a BR as soon as i can. LOL.

agree. Its more that it’s more possible. With equal skill the BR/DMR/Carbine/Lightrifle would shoot it out. It’s all your skill.
I find the pistol kind of useful if my AR runs out, and I don’t have enough time to reload, or if I need to do sniping without a weapon such as the DMR, Battle Rifle, or Covenant Carbine

Yes halo 3 is better but you have to admit that the pistol sucked bad, i got rid of it as soon as possible even the plasma pistol was a way better choice

DMR takes 5 shots to kill same as Magnum. They’re basically the same weapon: only the DMR has a higher magazine count and longer range thanks to it’s 3x Smart-Link scope. The fire rate is the only draw back. Unless you get lucky, an SMG or AR will ruin your day if you run into one.
I agree, it has a ton of range and everyone has it so it also has unlimited ammo.
