H4 pistol was far from useless. It wasn’t far off H5 pistol. Just a shorter range
Weapons are only as decent as the user makes them to be.
If you are running into people who can 4-5 shot you its possible that your movements are not erratic enough to throw off their aim.
That said, no more br starts. Might as well remove the pistol from the game/ playlist if they throw that in and it would defeat the purpose of its balancing.

You know nothing about proper balance, and what playing Halo actually means.
You should be exposing yourself to get power weapons - weapons with a clear difference in performance from the spawning weapons, and ones that can be timed and fought over by both teams.
Having to scurry around for a BR that is only SLIGHTLY better than the pistol creates bad gameplay. You can’t stop the other team from gathering slightly better weapons because they’re everywhere. Then you get wrecked from mid-range because an equally skilled opponent happened to have a BR.
In old Halo, when an opponent had a power weapon, it was because you weren’t good enough to stop them using the same weapons as them, and now you’re going to pay the price.
I know 343 hired a pro-team, but if you look up things that people like Ghost were saying before getting hired at 343, you’ll notice that they do NOT like the things that Halo 5 has.
Ghost hated sprint. I’m sure he says he likes not starting with a BR now because that’s what his employer wants him to say.

Hmmmm I don’t see it that way. Yes there was 2x smart link scope with H4 pistol but the scope didn’t extend the range. It just helped with precision. In H5, using the projection sight or aiming off the hip with the pistol kills easily from afar, especially with skilled players.

The H5 pistol needs to have a longer range than the H4 pistol because H5 autos have a further range than H4 autos due to ADS.

This is why the pistol should be a 4sk.
More people use brs and ars both at which can beat the pistol though it’s strong and definitely competitive I think it’s fine…this is the most balanced weapons ive seen in a halo game.

I personally believe that if you think the pistol is over powered than why not use it yourself?

Those pistols were trash…
The pistol is the utility weapon. Why is this so hard to understand? If you nerfed it to make it a back-up weapon when you have nothing else, it would be totally worthless, like it has been in most Halo games. It’s still harder to use than BR/DMR/Carbine/LR. It’s supposed to make you viable on spawn. If any change should be made to the pistol, it should be a buff to compensate for the skill-gap.
It wouldn’t be any different if they decided to nerf it and then make everyone spawn with a BR. I’m good with where this is at, because the BR will still beat it in closer ranges, but has the edge at range, as do any of the other precision weapons.
Its a good utility weapon that lets you fend for yourself even if you can’t find another weapon.
halo 4’s pistol was decent, but ultimately couldn’t compete. Halo 3’s was trash, I don’t know what you’re talking about there.
The Pistol is suppose to be the best weapon of choice, Honestly, ever played halo CE? or halo 3? How about Halo 2? The pistol is one of the Guns that made Halo what it is, if you have a problem with it go back to CoD
