I love a strong magnum…Who doesn’t?! …At the same time…play with the pros all you hear/see in the game is pistol. I hit Onyx in free for all and its a magnum-fest…ruins the game tbh. Might as well change most multiplayer game names to Magnum-wars. Definitely frustrating …Also some -yoinks- are saying its noob to use AR? WHY?! It actually requires skill and tapping the trigger for accuracy!!! So far i love this game though. Different but Chief is back and so am I les go.
I think the weapon balance is still pretty even.
The pistol is for pros

I outdo guys all the time with my AR i don’t quite get all this complaining about pistol.

its not that bad it doesnt have a very fast fire rate it used to be semi auto matic but not anymore they need to change the forunner weapons back to halo 4 I dont like them much except the boltok.Q why is the plasma pistol even still in the game not that useful and what happend to the classic plasma rifle I miss that thing.

They replaced the Plasma rifle for the storm rifle! 
Ya the magnum has to large of a range
the pistol is so much better now, i dont know how it could be so frustrating
i think that the pistol is fine. it gives you a chance to fight against enemies who already have long distant headshot weapons, so that dying doesn’t leave you completely hopeless the next time you spawn.

The plasma pistol is good for the anti vehicle aspects
It’s nowhere near DMR or BR. It may have range, but it’s weak at length. If someone can take me down with one of those, they are good. I’ve gone up against people with BR’s and DMR’s with a pistol and they have me down much quicker. If you use a pistol and can manage to keep tracked on a target and close to mid, you can take em down fast, but it’s not that easy.

It’s meant to be an all purpose weapon. It’s good enough to contend with the BR & DMR variants but it remains weaker than them. If a pistol is beating your BR or DMR then it’s most likely your aim.

i agree with you i find myself beating almost every gun with the pistol at any range excluding the sniper rifles and railgun. its easy to have the high ground and just spawn kill. i feel the damage should be nurfed a tad bit. maybe make it two more shots to kill. my only problem with this game is the spawns in warzone. find myself spawning in the midst of the whole enemy team gunning me down without a chance to make it to cover.
