Pistol is fine and working for the niche is it supposed to.
Pistol is a semi, it needs power in order to compete against burst and full auto. Only change needed is a larger clip so I can kill more of these pistol haters lol.(Btw last sentencew as a joke, dont vote for that change or get all agro thx).

I agree with Vast. It can only really be considered op at the start of Warzone matches, or when your team doesn’t have a BR, DMR, or Lightrifle in Arena.
I think BR’s are the worst
the pistol feels about right where it is. It has a good chance against any gun and it is really good at a certain range. BR/DMR will still outduel it a lot of the time and up close the smg/AR is a tough matchup especially if they strike first.
I personally think the pistol is at the top of it’s game. They didn’t bring back the overbearing pistol of H1, nor the underpowered pistols of H2, H3, and H4. Personally, I cannot see the pistol getting any better. I get frustrated when I spawn without a decent weapon, so the AR/Pistol combo works beautifully in H5.

I think the pistol in Halo 5 is the most balanced pistol in any Halo. The DMR/BR both can easily outgun someone, as long as you are hitting your shots. If a player with the BR is missing shots and the player with the pistol is landing them, the pistol welder should get the kill. Skill should trump weapon type as often as possible.

BRS are the number 1 competitive weapon in any halo since halo 2. They are you would say the best non power weapon.

Definitely a BR would be a better starting weapon and counter to the increase in movement speed to prevent all the annoying sprinting sideswipes. I think the BR with the AR as a backup/close range would be ideal, but magnum would be good too. That or at least put more BRs on the maps.
