You mean not everybody loves the boring as sin high bloom spam cannon? I’m shocked.
It has been genuinely disappointing to see 343 regress back to close range pistol starts after almost nailing the starting weapons in Halo 5.
But loud people still whine about utility weapons like the H5 Magnum and other even shallower people have a fit if a pistol can defeat a rifle in a video game because “realism.”
And what’s the end result? Some people still complain that the new human pistol isn’t completely worthless and we are back to split AR and BR starts splitting the community again, joy.
EDIT: Yes, I’m being told OP is talking about the Plasma pistol which is a whole new can of worms.
The Plasma Pistol was dismemebered into like 3 different weapons to justify their new shock weapon and we are left with a plasma pistol that not only doesn’t do meaningful shield damage but is generally outclasses as tracking shield -Yoink!- by the pulse carbine and can no longer EMP vehicles.
Man thinking about it more all the Infinite pistols are borked in one way or another, I mean the whole sandbox is almost insidiously bad in one way or another, but the pistols are something else.
go do the grade 3 weapon drills with the plasma pistol. it’s just bad. Enemies can strafe in response to seeing you TRYING to use the pistol and make it so aiming to the left and right of their bodies is useless past 8 meters. You can get lucky with it, but the plasma pistol needs a rework.
No it’s not useless, it just fits into the role of a sidearm, instead of how the CE and Reach and 5 magnums were so strong that they were often treated as primary weapons.
If you spawn with an AR and magnum or BR and magnum, the magnum should be the one that you drop when you find something else, not the other way around
I find it extremely useful in ranked utilizing it off spawns as another weapon. Instead of having to reload my BR. Close encounters it’s beneficial such as on Aquarius. Keep it in the game!
That was absolutely funny to watch. If you read the comments, one guy points out he’s ruining the experience for others and he responds with “That’s the goal”
That is a total opinion. I pick this weapon over the Mangler and Disrupter the majority of the time. People just have to stop reminiscing over the previous plasma pistols compared to Inifnite’s.
Though the previous versions were better, this one isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Just gotta stop relying on that old tracking and more on leading your shots.
It’s the most powerful weapon if you’re on PC. It has a higher fire rate than the AR, reaches as far as a BR, and has zero recoil allowing for consistent headshots. That’s why in 4v4 teams PC teams will just run around with pistols. It’s like the HALO 1 pistol but with much faster fire rate.
This is on point. Every cheater has a near zero gamerscore. Removing free to play and disabling cross-play would go a massive way into making multiplayer playable and even fun.
…I’m calling BS. The only way this would work is if the script would only automatically press the input at a perfect cadence to minimize bullet spread, which is something anyone can do if they time their shots. Explain how this is supposed to work.
You just need to use it more, I somehow convinced my friends to use it all the time now, and I am sure if there was all-chat, we’d be hearing a lot of crap from the enemy team. Also don’t aim for away, its a short range weapon.
