Pioneer Specialization - How does it work?

So basically does this just level you up quick from SR50-SR60 if I chose it as my first one? Meaning I can get to the next Specialization faster than if I used a different one?

I’m just wondering how this works exactly…

You get a support package that gives more exp if you use it.

Does anyone know how much more you get?

The people who have it lol.

Yeah, but I mean when I get to SR60, do I pick another Specialization? So it’s faster to complete this Specialization over the other ones?

i have it. I’m getting an extra 500-700 xp per game. Pretty decent. And it won’t level faster than any of the the other specs.

Let’s use common sense here. You are using a support package that increases exp. You level via exp. Thus, you level faster. If you don’t use the support package, you don’t get the extra exp. Thus, you don’t level any faster. What’s so hard to understand?

The answer is in the question!!

Do you have to wear the specialization’s armor when you do the specialization?

Ex. When you are doing wetwork, do you have to wear the wetwork helm?

> Do you have to wear the specialization’s armor when you do the specialization?

Specializations are worded too poorly. What is a specialization? The instant you roll over from SR49 to SR50 you get to pick a specialization, which all it does is give you 10 more levels to rank through, where you unlock parts of the specialization’s armor set at different ranks along the way, and once you get to the 10th level, you unlock a new tactical package or support upgrade.

In the case of pioneer, once you get to SR60, assuming this is your first specialization you went for of course, you can build one or more loadouts with the extra XP support upgrade. The amount of extra XP you get is based off of how long you use a loadout with the extra XP support upgrade, so if you don’t use it at all except for the last 10 seconds of a game, you get 10 seconds worth of extra XP. This also means that if you play game types that don’t allow custom load outs (SWAT, flood, snipers, etc.), you can’t gain extra XP from playing them.

My friend has unlocked the Fast Track package, and he gets anything from 450 to 700xp per completed game. This is only for War Games, I’m not to sure if Fast Track works/what the rate is for anything else.

This is the big point right here.

Hi!
I actually dont understand…I have reached Pioneer but i dont get any XP at all whatever i am playing. My limit is not met but my xp shows 1180…something and is not moving…at all…? I have 2/10 on the Pioneer but how does this relate to XP?

If it’s anything like the others. you don’t actually get the bonus specialization part till you max it out. Then it’ll be a tac package or support upgrade. Which is what happened with wetwork or Operator. gotta max those out before you get the actual specialization ability.

But i cant max anything when i dont get any xp at all? I know that the actual specialization ability is locked until i max it. But how do i max anything without any XP?

You probably maxed your XP for the day if you were getting no XP.

Oh wow, this found its way to the top again.

Well I apologize–I had no idea how Specializations work. Now I’m at SR54 with the Pioneer, and understand them. Tomorrow I’ll get to SR60 and get the XP thing, then start Wetwork with it.

I am sure you guys have already answered this, and I think I read it some where… but here is my dumb question - Specializations and their benefits will only work in say Infinity Slayer and other game types that support loadouts. So if you play SWAT, you will not get any benefit from your specialization choice… correct?

Get pioneer
finish the SR rank
equip pioneer
profit

you’re stupid! but i’m still going to tell you, for each specialization you unlock, you get a ‘support package’ <a perk you can put on individual classes. by putting that on your class, the class you use, is effected, no where close to that dumb -Yoink- example… but now you know
