Are the effects of the Pioneer specialization permanent once completed? In other words, will I continue to have greater xp per game after I have moved on to other specializations or only when I am a Pioneer?
(As an aside, I have already chosen Tracker because I wanted the ability to change ordinances and found you don’t get it until level 10 of the specialization. Bummer.)
You have to set your Tactical Package to Fast Track to get the extra XP. If you don’t use a loadout that has Fast Track then you won’t get the extra XP.
You won’t even get more XP per game while you are Pioneer. Upon completion of the Pioneer specialization, you unlock the Fast Track tactical upgrade. Use this in your loadout and you’ll earn additional XP, but you’ll have to always select a loadout that has it equipped (or just equip it in all loadouts).

Yes, once you complete Pioneer-10 you get Fast Track. You only get additional XP if you’re using Fast Track in one of your loadouts. Fast Track can be added to your loadouts under Tactical Packages.
I completed Pioneer first just so I can advance through the remaining Specialization’s faster. Working on Rogue right now and I have my sights set n Pathfinder next.
