Pioneer (Fasttrack) Specialization - Explain?

Okay…Maybe I’m missing something but here goes.

Whats the point? If you are already SR-50, what’s the point of having a specialization that allows for faster EXP gain? You’ve already hit SP50. Also, you cannot use Pioneer while embarking on another specialization.

What’s the point of it? You already have your initial 1 - 50 ranks complete, and it doesn’t help the other specializations because you have to use them individually.

Thanks

I don’t think you have to use their specializations, I think you can use Fast Track for the other Specializations.

when you finish that specialization you get an armor mod which you can use to help you level your other specializations.

You can use it to level up the other specializations faster, but once you’ve “beaten the game” and hit SR130 there doesn’t seem to be any difference between choosing “Fast Track” and choosing “None”.

EDIT: I should have added that you don’t need to use the “perk” from the spec you’re currently leveling. It’s actually not even possible. For example; you don’t need to use the “Fast Track” mod while you’re leveling that spec. It’s actually impossible to do so since you have to finish that spec to earn the mod, which means that if you decide to get FT at SR60, you can use it all the way to SR130 if you like.

so when you hit SR130, all of the specializations stack on top of one another?

The game goes to Spartan Rank 130. SR1-50 are “normal.” SR51-130 are split into ten ranks fro each of the eight Specializations. (10 X 8 = 80 ranks + 50 ranks = 130 ranks)

This is what I’m unsure about. 343 has consistently talked about “mods” and “perks.” Mods sound like they give you stuff from the get-go, like Day one. Perks are what you get after completing the Specialization and are more awesome than the mods you initially get. But I haven’t seen ANYTHING clarifying this so far. (At least not from official sources.)

All I have to say is that I better get to use Specialization on Day One. It was one of the “Features” of the LE and I paid good money to have immediate access.

> so when you hit SR130, all of the specializations stack on top of one another?

thyReaperMC had a post that said you can choose a Tactical mod and a Support mod from your Specializations. So it seems like you might be able to have two Specializations active at a time.

there armor armor mods and support mods upon completing the ten levels of the specializations you will receive a mod for either armor or support. fast track is the one for pioneer i don’t remember if its armor or support though.

Nooooo a specialization is not an armor mod or support pkg (perks), think of a specialization like an extra 10 levels you can complete and when you complete them, then you can earn a specific “perk”, set of armor, emblem etc.

So like the pioneer specialization is a set of 10 levels you are able to complete and then when you progress through all 10 levels you get the fast track “perk” and it is one of two “perks” you can select for a loadout

Those that believe that the Spec enlisted in automatically gives you the passive ability of the lvl 10 mod are wrong.
It is because you can wear the Fasttrack ability for the other Specs. and therefore unlock them faster that you don’t get to level up Fasttrack first and fastest.

Fasttrack will help you level up the Specs. and that is its intent. It is only active when worn. You cannot wear it at the start of the match and gain 15% more XP for the match, you only earn 15% for the points earned while using the loadout(s) equipped with FT.
