I claim my favorite mode is swat, but I can not understand why, even though there are dedicated servers, the lion’s share still makes the connection quality. Now for a disadvantaged like me traveling at 17Mbps in download and up 0.70Mbps with a 54ms ping, playing with Halo 5 multiplayer is not fun! To be all the same because you do not put a ping limit on multiplayer servers so there is not much benefit to those who are more fortunate and can travel with fiber optic?
Disadvantaged? Try 180-200+ ping. You know the connection is bad when you nail a headshot, and then they die half a second later.
I’d quite happily kill for a 54ms ping, play in the UK or anywhere else outside of the U.S. and see how terrible the connections are. 343i in their arrogance belive their matchmaking algorithm is superior to the laws of physics, they put skill over good connection every time. But how can you have fairly skilled matches when some players on the server are at a geological disadvantage?
As you can tell I’ve suffered terrible connections to Halo 5 since day one, it’s the main reason I don’t play it much any more, that, and the fact they completely shafted the BTB crowd by treating us like an after thought.

I’d kill for your ping I’m from aus and on average I’m 350+ that’s on a good day half my deaths come from behind walls plus the backsmack is a 2 hit kill sometimes
When I talk about ping at 56ms I’m not talking about the strange value that my One with the multiplayer network connection test, because if I should take that value then I talk about 250ms (a lifetime!). The ping I speak is the real one on my adsl connection. The dedicated servers if they are really dedicated, have limiting game settings, or all players running on that server travel at the same speed and above all they all have a stable ping equal for everyone, which does not take into account the “power” of the adsl connection Or fiber that you have! Then, and only then, is it a matter of world-class competition.
My ping usually is around the low 80’s. I would be nice if I could get it lower though.
Edit: I recently checked and it’s actually the low 50’s. Not sure why I was thinking 80’s.

LMAO 54ms… Like JC00795 I’m running 300+. Getting 3 shot with BRs, 4 shot with magnums is an every game occurrence. And you can forget about any close quarters engagement. I’d love a connection under 100ms.
Occasionally you get the perfect storm and your missed strafe shots are so consistently bad from your POV that they connect every time on the server side. Bittersweet to get an overkill extermination with 3 perfects where almost no shots hit their targets on the clip.

3shots with brs haha ive been getting two shot lately I feel your pain and the talk of it going the other way Ian very rare though i felt bad the other day at when I heard head ahot a guy even though I clearly shot his foot
