About a week ago my ping began fluctuating about 30+ in each game (50ms-80ms or sometimes even 70ms-120ms). This wasn’t an issue previously. My ping, whether high or low, would remain stable in game once I loaded in. I’ve reset my router, turned off all other applications, nothing helps. As it is now, the game is becoming almost unplayable for me with this. It’ll be mid BR fight and suddenly it feels like my shots aren’t registering, and I’m dying around walls way more than before. Not to mention the desync is happening even more now me. Anyone else having this issue?
That sounds more like an issue with your broadband connection than the servers tbh. Have you run any diagnostics on your connection? Is your console/PC wired or wireless?
The desync symptoms are happening to every one regardless of ping so it’s fair to say desync isn’t ping related.
I’m on PC and wired. I hadn’t run any diagnostics because nothing has changed on my end and also not quite sure where to start.

Could literally be any number of things at your end. Start off with a number of speed tests over different times of the day for a few days, swap out network cables, and contact your ISP to run line tests and check if any faults on your line. Also check speeds and ping on other devices such as mobile phone, and if there could be any interference. I had an issue a few years ago where I’d get ping spikes and connection drops…turns out it was a neighbours really old tv that was causing interference when they turned it on (think it’s called REIN).
Depends on your location and distance from the server. Some get lower than 20ms but some get 50ms…then you have really bad cases when you connect to a server on the other side of the world which could be 100-200ms. Anything below 30ms would be considered ok, and up to 50ms acceptable but you’d still suffer from latency.

No problem. Just as an example, I’m based in England and connect to both EU servers in Dublin and Amsterdam at approx 20ms. Others players in different parts of the UK have said that their ping is 40-50ms so it also depends on the broadband infrastructure to where you live.
If the game connects me to east coast US (Washington DC) then it’s approx 100ms and over 150ms if it makes me connect to Chicago. Basically the game is a broken mess and needs region lock or server selection.
