Pilot helmet confirmed.(CQB too!!)
Do you think we’ll get a haunted version?
It makes sense to include the Haunted helmet for Halloween 2017.
IDK really, since 343 made MP canon and seeing a skull inside a helmet would seem odd. Unless the Infinity we could say, gets destroyed with all the MP simulations destroyed causing mp to be canon no more.

Could be an intimidation technique.
Some kinda hollogram?

one of the many reasons MP being canon is stupid
There was a thread on this a few days ago, someone said it would be cool to get it after achieveing the final rank.

Nope, I doubt a hologram could pull a thing like that off.

I would be cool if they did…BUT MY FACE IS BACK!!!
I want spartans who wear it to occasionally say “Hey, who turned out the lights?” as a Doctor Who reference if it will exist.
My opinion on the matter is I hope it doesn’t return. It should remain as that special helmet exclusive to Reach. The more we see it, the more its reputation is tarnished. For example, look at Recon. Recon used to mean something. Now it means you know how to open req packs. So how about we let the haunted helm keep its legendary status?

RIP River.
I personally don’t see the point in keeping things exclusive for the sake of exclusivity. I’ve never liked that kind of thinking; it can promote elitism. It’s just a cosmetic item; putting so much stake in it seems petty. I got Recon in Halo 3 the hard way, but when it was made available to all, I was actually happy that everyone who wanted it got it; I was satisfied with just knowing that I got mine the hard way.
That being said, I am indifferent to the return of Recon and would be the same for Haunted. Personally I feel like 343i wouldn’t do Haunted because multiplayer is canon, for better or worse, and a dead guy in a suit of power armor doesn’t fit Halo canon.

I see your point but can’t really agree. H3s special armor was Recon (I didn’t have it) and I didn’t like that it was given away for free in Reach (preorder bonus). It turned a legendary armor into a cheap gimmick. If the haunted helm (never got it either) comes back in h5 I feel it devalues the armor as a whole. It’s like if they gave Achilles helmet (I don’t have it either) out for preordering Halo 6.
So I don’t think I’m coming from a perspective of elitism since I don’t have any of them lol. I like the armors to carry a sense of sccomplishment.

Like this?
Also google hollographic skull.
They without power, can be printed onto plastic.
Not that big of a leap for the 2500s?

By the accomplishment logic, a helmet coming back in the next game doesn’t devalue the accomplishment of the original helmet from the previous game. You see someone in Reach with Recon, it has no effect on whether they got the helmet in Halo 3. And therefore, it doesn’t hold the same meaning. Having Recon in Halo 3 was an achievement (for awhile), so if you saw someone with it you’d be like “wow, they’re pretty good”. But in Reach it was just a cool helmet.
We probably won’t ever agree on this issue; I guess it’s just a matter of what games mean to us personally. I’d say this: if they gave out Achilles in Halo 6 as a preorder bonus, I wouldn’t get it because I’m not preordering Halo 6, but I wouldn’t care. I don’t even care that much about Achilles now, or Helioskrill for that matter (got that the hard way). To me, they’re just pixels that are purely cosmetic.
Now, if armors had perks attached to them, I would have something to say… but luckily this isn’t Destiny.
Haunted pilot helmet was cool. I don’t think we’ll get it though.

I’d prefer not, but notice how the pilot helmet had something reflected on its visor and all the other helmets didnt on the preview?

Hopefully. I still want GRD more though.
Maybe not a haunted helmet, but what about a haunted visor? Y’know your visor creates a simulated image of a skull, so it’s not really haunted, just emulating it, to fit the cannon.
