An icon of the weapon that you’re looking to pick up (in addition to the written out name, of course) would give you a much quicker statement of what you’re about to pick up and I would like to see it added in the full release. Anybody with me?
Agreed.
They had that on Halo 4 and “purists” said it was too much hand holding and that we didn’t need it. Thanks a lot…
Not needed.

It’s not that I don’t know what the weapon is, it’s just that when there’s a pile of weapons in one spot and I’m looking to pick up the Prophet’s Bane specifically it’s much quicker with a picture.
Also, I realize you weren’t accusing me of not knowing what the weapon is. I was just adding to the argument.

I’m not saying it’s needed. I’m saying it would be better if it were there.
Agreed. Hell… I can hardly even see some weapons at their spawns… But I’m ok with that… Comes with learning a map… But when piled up, yeah it needs an indicator.
Yeah, the icons are nice. I want them back.

Yes. This especially.
Agreed
Please bring them back!
Woh, guys. We can’t just go adding features. It’ll make it not halo anymore.
But seriously, it would be nice. Even if just for people who are quicker at visual recognition over text recognition.
I think it will be in the final game. I hope so at least, but for now I’d chalk it up to unfinished UI.
It’s fine how it is. Don’t be so nit picky

I hope it’s in the final game too. But wasn’t it not in Halo 4? I can’t remember honestly, but I just wanted to get out in front of this issue while there’s still time to add it.

Oh I will pick nits. I. Will. Pick. All. The. Nits.
Please do, the text is tiny as hell >.>

Yes indeed. When I logged in, it said “Message of the Day” and then I have no idea what it said after that.
I was going to say something about this, but I was afraid people would accuse me of being illiterate if I was the only one having a hard time seeing things.
“DMR” & “SMG” are easy to spot, but “Assault Rifle” and “Battle Rifle”, especially in the heat of a fast-paced shooter like this, can easily get mixed up in my head in the split second it takes to decide to pick it up or not.
Absolutely. It’s nigh on impossible to tell whether that black blob you just walked over is an SMG, an AR, or a grease spot on the ground, and the miniscule little text that comes up to tell you what you’re standing on is way too hard to read. Every other Halo game has had this. Why take it out when removing it makes something that should take a fraction of a second a chore?
