I’m sure this has been brought up already…but is there a way to encourage 343 to push out a BTB map with phateons in it? Am I the only one who wants this D:

This is usually the case. However, we’re still keeping our eyes peeled!
Even a Wasp can do a lot of damage against an uncoordinated team. Now you have a teleporting aircraft with more health and homing missiles. Yeah, no thanks.
Honestly, I’d like it in just 1 map so I don’t have to play warzone to finish the commendation lol I don’t super care about commendations but when it’s my only one left in vehicles, I might get sick of looking at it lol.
I’m just not big on warzone at all. I find it pretty boring most games.
I suppose this could work, If some forunner map was realeased. (Maybey even on Genesis itself) Also, the map would have to be decked with enough weapons to destroy it, like Alter.

Disagree they are pretty weak and easy to shoot down IMO.
I believe a phaeton in BTB can work. I’m thinking one phaeton, but in addition to that add in AA Wraiths and Spartan Lasers or Berserker’s claws. It just bothers me that there isn’t at least one map in BTB that has a phaeton.

With enough Firepower sure,but most BTB maps dont have enough these.

Don’t worry, you’d never get to use one anyway, since it’s a level 8 REQ and you’ll almost never get those until the final minute of the warzone match. Then you’ve got to find enemies to kill, not get shot down by their tanks, etc. etc.
You can call them in quickly during Turbo, but then you get shot down just as quickly by everyone with tanks and lasers. What needs to happen is turning them into level 7 REQs, so that people can actually work on their commendations.

Maybe when 343i decides to add Heavies matches to BTB, you’d see Phaetons make an appearance.

Homing Missiles? Not on the regular Phaeton at least, and a Helios would be the absolute worst thing to face in a game where you cannot spawn lasers/railguns.

If there’s a phaeton, there should probably be weapons like the hydra, splaser, and plasma pistol to counter it.
Forerunner themed map with a single phaeton in the middle and a higher number of power weapons to counter it around the perimeter. How does that sound?

Not really. The Phaeton main cannon is TRASH. It sucks.
Maybe some strong power weapons would balance the map out.
