Got a DNF on a match I didn’t play. I did dashboard out of the pre game lobby because it was taking forever to load. Still I don’t understand how I got a DNF from it. Is this normal?

If I had to guess you dashboarded after the cut off for you to be a part of the match. In effect you quit.

Maybe but it s was stuck on connecting to server for about 4 minutes

It happens. If you cant back out to the menu, you are ‘in the match’ even if you aren’t.

If you don’t quit, aside from the disconnections you shouldn’t have any real issues. I know you’ve been banned before, but if you play enough games without quitting or disconnecting the occasional issue won’t hurt you. I wouldn’t worry about it.
You were probably jobbing a game in progress. I believe your time in match starts counting the moment it decides you’ll be part of that game, even if you’re still lodding in.
Also it takes longer to join games in progress.
