I think so, because 343 has every other base Power Weapon and Vehicle with different variants after Ghost Meridian. The Supresssors and Hammers will be done in GoM. I personally can’t wait for better Phaetons and see what they will do. I’d imagine the best Phaeton being Req lvl 9. As the regular Phaeton stands, it sits more or equal to Sword Banshee, but gets -Yoink- on by Ultra the majority of the time.
I hope the upgraded Phaetons have their core Protected by a piece that can be shot off.
Not sure what they could do with them, unless the Didact had his own personal Phaeton or something.
While I think upgraded Phaetons should be a thing just to fit in with the rest of the 3 tiers of weapons thing, could you imagine how hard that would be to get people are already so low on normal Phaetons due to the rarity probability chance, the other 2 would have to be even harder

Ive only ever got 3 Phaetons and that was from a certification.

^ my point exactly, those Phaetons better be godly because you’ll have a better chance at meeting a god in real life
Make a rare version of the phaeton that doesn’t have the missiles or something… so we can actually use one.
Phaetons are awful anyway, I’d never use them if I got the cert for them. They can easily be taken down in a few hits in the middle from a DMR.
I can’t wait for the UNSC Hornet variant.
I have a small stock of them and never use them. The idea of them if way better then the application IMO. A small buff to the armor would make this a really great weapon for the players that are not used to flying one.

Let’s just start with getting the current one a slight buff. Not a buff for its weapons (those are already strong enough) but a buff its dam sheild/health. The thing is a flying piece of glass. What they could do is lower the base phaeton to ultra rare level 7 and then have the other variants be higher levels and so on.
What phaetons really need is more armor… id have no problem with an upgraded version with more armor but then 343 might have to look into the drop chances of the phaeton from packs since its ridiculously low.
The thing right now is that phaetons are way too easy to take down, i -Yoink- on phaetons everytime with just a regular banshee or even just a kinetic dmr. For req 8 its way too weak compared to an ultra banshee which is req 7, and that thing is a -Yoinking!- tank.
Well the normal is so rare your more likely to see a prophets bane than it. Upgraded ones would be so rare that it be easier to find alien life in our galaxy.

Yes. Fix the existing issues before worrying about a variant
I’m up for any variant or buff to the current one that allows it to not be destroyed in 20 seconds flat by small arms fire.
Never known the joy of killing enemy Spartans with the Phaeton 
Probably something along the lines of, upgraded armor, bullet hell guns, and two teleport boosts.
If you look at the trend so far, i’d say its a strong possibility.
It probably will eventually.
