Petition to reverse the Halo maps download

I almost never play Halo Reach for campaign, even if the daily challenges require it. I’m looking forward to buying Halo CEA, Halo CE’s campaign is my favorite of the series, I’d rather have the ability to play Reach’s MP with old and new maps and then being able to play Halo CE’s campaign on one disk rather than having to download the new maps to play them with the older maps on the reach disk.

Anyone else agree?

I would love to see this but it’s highly unlikely it will happen.

Regardless, signed.

The disk comes with a code to download the maps. It’s easier to do that.

Yes I know that but the code is for playing the new maps on reach. My petition is to bring the old maps to CEA

No it doesn’t.

It comes on the disk to play via the ‘Halo: Reach Multiplayer’ option on the Main Menu,

I think that if you install Reach on your HDD, you should be able to play the Reach maps on CE:A disk. That’s what I understood, anyway.

OH! My apologies, hmm. Maybe. I’d be up for that.

There is also going to be a way to download the new H:CEA maps onto your Reach disk so you will have a one stop shop for all your MP needs.

That as well, the option to add all the Reach Maps & DLC to the CEA Multiplayer Option, is highly unlikely.

I think that would work. Either that or a code. If it was by the HDD it should be able to sense DLC maps so that we could get our DLC maps along with the default older maps

I was under the impression that it was a Halo3/Halo3:ODST type relationship.

I know it’s unlikely, but trying to bring the word that this is the way some prefer it would be worth it.

Nope, the Multiplayer option on the Halo CEA Disk only has the 6 Multiplayer Maps & the 1 Firefight Map, but installing them to your HDD will allow you to play them on Reach like DLC.

> I was under the impression that it was a Halo3/Halo3:ODST type relationship.

They changed that. Instead of MP disk, the new maps come on the same disk with CEA, and that comes with a second disk to download the new maps to your HDD to play them on Reach so that you can have all the maps together. But I, along with quite a few people I know, wanted it so that we could have the MP maps on CEA so that we dont have to keep switching back and forth between CEA and Reach.

From The Halo Bulletin 7/27/11
Is the Combat Evolved Anniversary multiplayer updated CE multiplayer, or will it come with a Reach multiplayer disc like Halo 3: ODST? -J0HNL3I

Anniversary contains the Halo campaign-updated, of course-as well as seven new Multiplayer maps that run in the Reach engine. You do not need Reach to play these, just the Anniversary disc. It all launches from one menu, just as you’d expect. Anniversary players who also own Reach will be able to install those Multiplayer maps right to their HDD. Semi-related: Reach players will be able to get the new maps too, and there will not be a significant gap between the launch of Anniversary and the availability of the seven maps as downloadable content.

Is that what you want? Or are you saying all Halo Reach maps on one disk?
