“I feel that DLC should be required to play any Matchmaking playlist. I paid for these maps, I want to play them on any playlist like BTB, Living Dead, etc. For the people against this who don’t have the DLC, I say: You have money for a tv, Xbox, internet, Halo: Reach and a Live subscription but not for DLC or you’re refusing to spend it for some reason? Especially if you’re a long time player of Reach but you don’t want the new content…really? Is your connection too poor to download? If so, how do you even efficiently play Reach Matchmaking? Either way, there’s always physical cards with redeem codes for the map packs at Gamestop and probably other game retailers. Point is, players, buy the DLC. 343, require it for Matchmaking.”

Dont worry about people that post like that, they just want their sea of gray maps that have zero creativity. Remember, dont feed the trolls.
I know your frustration and yes the forge world maps suck. But requiring dlc will make the population for this game fall through the floor. We can’t expect the devs to give this stuff away for free either as there is a ton of work involved in the DLC maps for little cost.

It might as well be free, its a whole 10 dollars. Ill be signing in every day to keep track of the amount of sigs we get.
Also, with the CEA maps coming out, they def should require all maps for all playlists except community.

Team slayer needs it, it has the largest population aside from infection, and Rumble pit also needs it, that playlist is in desperate need of the new maps. Community is community, if people do not want the maps, they can all gather there.

Team Slayer has all of the forge world maps and is the core deathmatch playlist. You really do need to offer a deathmatch playlist to anyone that wants to play the game. A similar thing applies to Rumble Pit, you need to offer a FFA playlist to anyone that wants to play the game… Remember Squad Slayer would still be made DLC required!
My main argument is that you need to offer some core gamemodes for people to play that don’t regularly play the game or are newcomers.
I have no incentive to buy any more Halo map packs ever again. If I buy them, I lose money and don’t get to play on them. If I don’t buy them, I don’t get to play on them but at least I still have my money. It’s not a lot of money but it is essentially just lighting a $20 on fire. I was hoping they would eventually make both map packs free (even after I paid for both) just so I could actually play on the maps I paid for.
I don’t want DLC required for everything as that would alienate a lot of people. There has to be a better system to match you up with others that have DLC though as the current system is not good.
