After reading numerous posts and having talked with Microsoft support, I regrettably have to admit that have I hit a brick wall;
Microsoft blames 343i for removing the DLC playlists and although they processed the payment for the “War Games Pass”, they claim that they are unable to give me a refund.
I have not played with the new maps, not even once. In fact, we paid for something that we CAN BARELY USE, if ever, in multiplayer. This is dishonest to say the least, especially since we had gotten used to the rotating DLC playlists.
I am starting this post in the hope that 343i will address this issue.
All that I ask is that those of you who have bought the DLC maps simply reply to this post.
PLEASE, ONLY POST ONCE AND ONLY IF YOU PAID FOR THE MAPS. This will ensure that we have an estimate of the owners of those maps.
Thank you!
I agree with this completely, why have us buy something we can’t use? I have the season pass and other maps.
Bro, Halo 4 is already dead. 343 will have no more updates nor will they even try to address this issue. Just move on. That 25 dollars is in the past now, never to be refunded. Ever. I just like to observe the Majestic Map Pack’s beauty in custom games and forge.
DLC playlists have been removed and returned a few times already. Each time they returned the population was so low that it wasn’t worth keeping them. People always complained about not being able to play the maps, but never made any effort to join the playlists when they were available and that includes when each DLC playlist launched.

Just to add to stckrboy’s comment, OP you saying that you “CANNOT USE” the maps is a false statement and one that Microsoft has 2 easy legal loopholes out of (please don’t take this post as me all out defending Microsoft/343 for their decisions, this is me giving an honest unbiased comment).

Yes, its true that it is hard to find a game on DLC maps in matchmaking. But it is also not impossible, as the maps are integrated into every playlist in the game. Thats loophole number one.

The maps are still fully playable in other modes outside of matchmaking, namely Forge and custom games. This is the main reason why Microsoft or 343 have not broken any purchasing laws. The content is still available for you to play on as and when you want, despite it not being the way you want to play it.
Nowhere in either the product description or even in the XBL Terms of Service agreement (that you agreed to when joining Xbox Live) does it state that you are guaranteed to play on any add-on content purchased from the XBL marketplace. No one has forced you into buying the DLC, since it is not a requirement to play the game. It was your own concious decision to make the purchase, the content is still accessible in game, and its for this reason Microsoft/Xbox support are fully entitled to deny you a refund.
I personally would live to see a dlc playlist but as stckerboy stated it has been done. The only other thing I would like to see is a playlist post that we used to have laying out what game types are available in each playlist, and maps available and what the custom rules are for the game types. Put it as a sticky in the forum.
DLC maps disappearing is really annoying. Same thing happend with Reach, Defiant and Noble maps dissapeared but the Anniversary playlist remains even today makes no sense.

Na, Halo 4 isn`t dead.

I have amended my post in order to make it more accurate. BTW, what would it cost 343i to re-introduce the DLC playlists?
And if Halo 4 is dead, are we supposed to expect the same treatment/support for Halo 5? Doesn’t sound too promising…
