Dear 343 Industries,
Before I start I would like to say this is a legitimate complaint of mine and I believe the changes would suit Halo 5 very much and vastly improve 343s literal public image.

I have been a loyal fan of Halo ever since I played Halo 3 on four play split screen. My problem is not with the Halo games, but it is extremely relevant because it counts how you present yourselves on the front cover, or should I say entry screen of these said games.
Of course we all know that I’m talking about your horrifically logo. In case of confusion this is the intro animated logo thing on the Halo 4 entry screen. I apologies I don’t know the real term for it. However simply put it is disgusting.
Here is why:
Tacky
Cheap
Too much dark blue
Attempt to look technical but fails
Attempts to include Halo vibe but fails
Attempts to use a horrible backing sound and succeeds
You may not of been aiming for this but that is all I read from your logo graphic (or whatever the name).
Firstly it looks plasticky, and the hexagons in it are not properly implemented, along with the spinning/gliding/whatever the motion is. There is also too much dark blue in the background, you could argue this is your “mark” on the series (especially 4 with all the blue) but it is not pleasant to see. Nor to hear that grinding whatever mess of a sound that followed it
All in all it wrecks the Halo vibe and feels, looks and sounds nothing like it should, cough cough cough BUNGIE LOGO cough cough.
The Bungie logo was simple, plain background, faded in, didn’t shudder everywhere, and nice lighting.
Yours is the complete opposite, I’m not saying old is good and new is bad, new can be good too. Just aim for the simpler logo perhaps. Less blue, more stationary, perhaps have hexagon assemble to make the logo in a way. But finally just don’t make it look sugar coated, then lathered in butter, then dunked in toffee. Then painted.
A nice simple logo would be perfect and would bring back the vibe of Halo 5 going back to it roots of competitive etc.
If you look at a DICE logo for say, from Bad Company 2 it is grainy, it had some simple tanks and helicopters above view fly over it, however it flashes and I almost literally felt light headed after suddenly looking at it in a dark room. That’s not the point, the point is it felt like BC2, it was BC2, it had personality. The 343 logo lacks this.
Finally to give another example,
Note here how the EA logo includes colours, moving parts and looks slightly technical with appearing cheap and tacky?
This is the look you should aim for, (copy them if possible) if this is not possible go the simple way (like Halo Wayypoints app intro with the UNSC logo fading in). And if that isn’t possible, then… Pre-order cancelled, jk 343 I’m too loyal to do that. But everything else I’m completely serious about and would really like a change.
Forum members, discuss! Also does anyone else thing the Industries sound a bit unneeded, like The Facebook, I think 343 sounds better but that’s just me.
So vote for 343 to change their logo.
