Anybody notice that Halo 5 is the first halo to not have our favorite Sargent?

I would assume because UNSC ground forces didn’t really have a role in this game, besides Osiris that is. We didn’t even get any marines.

That was my thought, but still, it’s odd to not see him in a main halo game.
343i didn’t want there to be any good characters in Halo 5, so they made sure to not include him.

I noticed that too. He was in 4, not sure if he was in 2. It’s another reason why this game upset me. Unless the guy who did his voice died.
343 is continuing on the path of removing fan-favorite background characters (The Smoke Stacker, Chips n’ Salsa, list goes on) in favor of this squad system, of which, the AI is no better, perhaps worse, than marines in the past 5 games.
Buck and the Grunts were the only thing that could actually make me laugh in the game
Y’know, you’re right! It seemed that something really shady happened and that all the voice actors, developers, and writers as well as everything in between were screwed over. Steve Downes(117) has said that Halo 4 was his favorite Halo due to the fact that Chief was getting some development. Him and Jen Taylor also got to work together for the first time instead of recording separately, which he was grateful for. But then imagine that after that beautiful ending and Halo 4 you come in to record lines for the Chief expecting to continue developing him into a more human character(something he was excited for) and learning that that is all being scrapped. The didact? Gone. “Hey steve, i’m gonna need you to act like you know these people named Fred, Kelly, and Linda. Oh no, we are not gonna explain them and all your unique relationships to each other, but we ain’t gonna tell the players either, so no worries. Now i’m just gonna need you to say I’m down about 40 different ways. Also, Cortana’s alive and evil now, so just forget about how you would act to her character in the past 15 years and you’ll be good.”
Osiris has some chemistry because all the actors did mocap together, minus Nathan Fillion(still awesome in game). Blue team should have felt like they had the most history, but when you get 4 people that have never worked together and try to make them play people who have known each other for decades, well… it doesn’t work.
Hopefully Halo 6 is able to give the chance for the actors to get into the story, but to do that it has to be good. Please. Be. Good.

I don’t think he was in CE, but I’m pretty sure he’s that Sergeant that you meet in the mission Metropolis with the Gauss Warthog in Halo 2.

He’s in halo 1-4, including reach and odst. His voice actor is the same name as his character, he also voiced captain Keyes.

Actually, I think I do kind of remember him in CE. Maybe I’ll go through it again sometime.
