Personal Stats and Player Stats

Am I going crazy or is there not going to be a way to look at your over all statistics?

MCC did a fantastic job of breaking it all down and even Halo 5 was decent. But now there is nothing, just overall games played. Seems very silly.

Side note, was the fast scrolling through end of game statistics players gone? I like to view everyone’s rank after each map. Another strange QOL removal even though that feature has been here for a long time.

Nope, doesn’t look like it. Rather than reskinning and improving the old site they replaced it with this rubbish with half the stuff missing. It’s crazy.

While we wait for Halo Infinite stats on Waypoint, i STRONGLY recommend visiting HaloTracker. They have a very nicely detailed API tracker that has most if not all the stats you want minus things like Heatmaps

I agree that Waypoint vNEXT is not a great replacement for stats and player information, but forums is much better now that it is run on a dedicated forums platform.

I didn’t even think about waypoint. I was more talking about in game. At least just give us kills deaths assists and over all medals.

Makes me sad to think of the time they had to create this game to have so many QOL features missing. But don’t you worry, their battle pass and store is set up flawlessly.

The teams that made the game vs the MTX only work for the same parent company lol. 343 did not make the MTX system, that was all the Parent Company/Publisher. Microsoft Suits just read data and tell a team to add those types of MTX systems. You can tell 343 is not happy with it either thats why they want all the feedback they can get so they can go to Microsoft Suits and show them how wrong they were so they can change it. Read Sk7tchs tweet in response to a reddit post about it. Also most of this games dev cycle was preproduction/conceptual and Engine building. Realistically this game had about 3 years in active development.

What are you on about?

The old forums were perfect. You had at least some user personalisation. Ranks that made sense and you could post links. We’ve lost all that. Besides the navigation in threads is just plain horrible.

Like, I can’t tap the top of my phones browser to scroll to the top because when I do it loads in the previous posts, so it’s almost an endless scroll to load all the previous posts before the one I’m viewing. It’s like they’ve never considered the UX of the site before implementing it.

The Waypoint team commented on Ranks and why they went away from them. They were a cool concept (and i miss them), but they encouraged people to create post just to rank up, where as the lack of that here is supposed to encourage posting for the sake of interaction. Which at least from my perspective has been true. Discourses Mobile Apps and Mobile Site, are GARBAGE, but that is a Discourse issue not 343. I along with all of my friends who use Waypoint daily have loved the new forums compared to the old ones. The old ones are classic to me, but this switch is just like BNET to Waypoint.

Yes I know this, but every other Halo was on a 3 year development cycle and had these basic features.

I’m so tired of these major companies releasing games for us the consumers, to test the live product for them to maybe have a fully released game 6 months to a year after release.

Modern gaming has really devolved and it’s saddening.

Games get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. Its insane to think that a game the size and fidelity of a Triple A title in 2021 can be developed in the same time frame as Halo 3 in 2004-2007. Tell me you know nothing of Game Dev with out telling me you know nothing of Game Dev.

Im not saying the features shouldnt be there, but also we dont know the whole mess behind development. And 343i couldnt really delay again, it would lead to alot of negative press, and honestly the lack of Stats isnt going to be breaking news.

I might argue the bad first impressions for new players will cost them more than delaying it another 9 months and releasing it with co-op and forge.

Why is this argument always for video games? Are you a product developer for all other products you consume?

I could care less that these games are getting bigger, you know why? I’m the consumer. It’s the companies responsibility to accommodate the product and if they need more resources to fully complete a game, then they should.

I don’t need to know the intricacies of game development to know that these companies Halo included are leaving out some major features that have been with the series for TWENTY years.

It’s clear where this companies priorities were when they release this “Beta”. It was all about how to monetize their consumers to the fullest. What halo has only three PVP playlist options at launch? What halo didn’t have stats to view? What Halo didn’t have the scroll through end game players?

Again, I could care less they outsourced any part of the product to another team, it’s THEIR responsibility to QA the product, not the consumer.

Funny that you bring up Q/A as that’s literally my job, I’m the head of Q/A for a communications company. I agree that companies should hire and out source more to complete projects, but the down side to that is communicating. It becomes harder to work together as a dev team if you’re in different offices let alone states. I am dismayed by the lack of features and would have rather had the game come feature complete,

The flights had a stats page now it’s nowhere to be found how could the actual flights before have it then they yank it for release makes no sense

Oh really? I don’t remember seeing them on the two flights I played.
