Personal Ordinance NOT Killstreaks

The Halo 4 personal ordinance system is a little different than the killstreak sytem in CoD. Here is a subtle point, with personal ordinance, you can get a semi-power weapon, like a scattershot or needler,or a boost in speed. With killstreaks, you can, wellll, y’know… DROP AN ENTIRE YOINKING TACTICAL NUKE THAT KILLS EVERY THING O THE MAP. So, do you see the difference?

I thought this argument and debate for PODs being Killstreaks was over and done with, or at least put on hold until someone finds something about them to make a complaint thread about.

killstreaks - a personal reward for getting kills
personal ordinance drops - a personal reward for getting kills

whats the difference?

> killstreaks - a personal reward for getting kills
> personal ordinance drops - a personal reward for getting kills, medals, assists, etc.

Can’t go a single day without hearing about CoD…on a halo forum. So pathetic.

Actually, the Nukes in CoD don’t kill chickens :stuck_out_tongue:

CoD is one helluva drug for some people. Its like they can’t last one day without suffering from “Bash CoD withdrawl”.

thosw are wise words

from what i saw in the E3 build, only kills progressed you closer to a personal ordinance drop.

A. You probably weren’t paying enough attention to the Ordinance meter when it goes up slightly after the player recieves a medal of some kind.

B. It is an older build, it may or may not have changed since then.

Assists do. Whatever got you credits in Halo Reach, got you points for your Ordinance. Sprees get you more. Multikills get you more.

Like black ops 2, Halo 4 is using this to promote teamwork.

just watched some footage again, they’re only progressing from assists and kills, medals don’t effect how much they progress but you get a medal for every kill you achieve.

so, the difference is that in halo 4, you get personal ordinance drops more often then in CoD? ok …

edit:
never mind, it does progress quicker from medals…

Kill streaks are dumb; rather, rewarding people with new ways to kill when they’re already killing lots of people. As if they need that, and as if you need something to make you feel better about yourself when you’ve mowed down five people.

Ordnance is different for all the nitpicky reasons that mitigate the concept. For instance, ordnance can be procured by anyone – once you drop it in, somebody could stab you in the back and swipe it. What you’re getting from an ordnance drop isn’t a crazy power, it’s just a gun or a somewhat significant temporary powerup; it can still be overpowered by others and is dependent on your skillset.

Seriously why is this being made. That argument dropped off a long time ago, so why are you bringing it up. Reported, moving on.

last time
ORDINANCE =/= ORDNANCE
UNLESS YOU’RE PLANNING ON SUING YOUR WAY TO VICTORY

I will also say, that kill streaks mean you start over when you die. This is not the case for personal ordinance. And on average, according to 343, players will only be able to summon ordinance once or twice a game.

hm…

the way i’m looking at it is, killstreaks reward you for playing the game successfully, ordinance drops rewards you in the same manner but implemented differently.

the 2 as a whole are the same, what it comes down to is which system is more balanced and fair and honestly, that would be halo 4s system.

Nope… I do.

I don’t think we should compare the two games because besides the two of them being FPS theres not a lot of similarity between them

As long as no one can call a Spartan helicopter I’m ok with ordinance drops
