I click multiplayer and get the following message:
“An Xbox live gold membership or permission for online gameplay is required.”
I’m on a PC and was always told that this game wouldn’t need gold to play online
anyone have any ideas?
I’m having the same issue on my son’s PC. I’ve enabled online gameplay on Sign in to your Microsoft account, he has an active Xbox Live account and can play on console, but we are unable to start a game together on PC.
Im going to check “Sign in to your Microsoft account”
as far as i know i’m also enabled as ive played online on an Xbox before (my Gold has since run out) yet i cant seem to find the information to tell me that i am enabled.
Also im having the same issue with Halo Wars : Definitive Edition, so fairly i’m confident its my account
Im wondering if it’d be wise to just wait until the game is fully released to see if that helps.
Okay so i seem to have fixed my issue.
Once at the page you linked I enabled all the permissions for my account under the Xbox one heading and then signed in and out of my account that was logged in on my PC.
This fixed the issue and i can now play online
