I’m so sick of every single BTB game I play have at least one AFKer on my team, just give these players a permanent ban after 5 games afk and kill this plague already.
Unfortunately it’s not always the players fault it’s the amazing servers/desync issues. Last night I made it through one game and got dropped from the next two due to no fault of my own and quit playing.
Great idea OP permanently ban players from an already near dead player base.
Holding on to people that choose to AFK probably does more damage then their worth and getting rid of them will benefit everyone else in the match. They hold no real value if they want to remain worthless to the point reports lead to bans in the first place.
Anyway, you can report people who choose to AFK if you want. That’s one of the reasons that system exists…
I hope you too get stuck on the loading screen and get permanently banned for that. I really hope that happens.

Sure they obviously need to fix the main issues with this game first but there’s so many people that start afking mid game because they’re garbage,9/10 games I see someone afk on my team and a lot of the time they already have a kill or two. These people need to just get out of the match if they aren’t going to play and the game needs to boot them and give them bans for doing it.
How do you know they’re doing it on purpose? They could’ve been disconnected, or distracted, or whatever else between game issues/bugs and real life stuff coming up. Not everyone is obsessed with the game and plays in their mom’s basement 24/7. Besides the game already boots AFK after 1 minute or so. To add to that an AFK player doesn’t really affect the outcome of most BTB modes besides slayer, hell I’d say a bad player is worse than an AFK one standing somewhere in the corner. A bad player will actively feed the enemy team by running out in the open again and again. Your anger is misplaced.
What’s the reason people AFK purposely?
It’s way more than a minute. I my experience it’s at least 4 which means you’ve pretty much already lost an Objective based mode in 4v4.
I’m my last match with an AFK teammate, the game lasted 6min 1sec and the player never moved or fired. He was replaced by a bot that only played for long enough to die once.
Don’t take that as support for perma-bans because I definitely don’t want that but it’s a much bigger issue than you made it sound.
Nah man, there’s been many times where I had to go for a short while to take a piss or something, and come back to me being booted out. It’s definitely no longer than 1 minute. The only other possibility is when a controller has stick drift which moves the player/camera slightly by itself meaning the game doesn’t see it as AFK.
I don’t know what to tell you. They never get kicked from my matches until most of the way through. If you’re playing ranked then it’s probably shorter but in social the rest of the team get totally screwed over.
Edit: If they have stick drift it’s totally minimal. They never move or turn and are always looking straight ahead.
Well, I’ll go check it now and time it. Be back soon
I’d rather have people going negative in 3 consecutive ranked games perma banned… But only if they’re are on my team. ![]()
Oh, and please ban people picking up power weapons and not getting kills with it.
It seems like you were closer to the truth. It takes precisely 3 minutes of inactivity to get booted from a game. My perception was wrong I guess.
It’s good to have a solid number. I’m actually surprised it wasn’t more. I’m guessing there are times where the player does move slightly and reset the timer which made me think it was longer.
I really wish they would just shorten the kick timer. 1 min at the absolute maximum, 30 sec would probably be better. The person who wasn’t playing isn’t going to care much. If they genuinely had something important come up in the real world they can just join another game.
The punishments don’t need to change, it would just lessen the impact on both teams.
Grand idea now that you put it that way
