Just wondering why after 6 months we only have 7 perm playlists in arena when theres so many to add? Everything from snipes to flood to objectives could be perm playlist so why aren t they perm yet? just wondering?

I may not be 100% sure, but if I were to guess it’s probably because 343 is worried about population distribution.

Im wondering why every playlist the have let us have for a while isn’t permanent this is the only game i know of that adds and removes gametypes all the time

Let me break it down for you simply.

More PERM Playlists in Arena and variety in Arena =Less People in Warzon

Less people in Warzon would mean less people caring about REQS.
=Less Money.

Less money for 343 means we can’t pay the Pro Players.
=Pro Players sad and then 343 would actually have to release some new changes instead of primarily just NEW REQS. They could release more game modes like you said, make a better UI and actual put more effort into the actual game. All you see in a game lobby is a emblems? This is Halo 5, a game made 6 years ago (Reach) had a way better UI and you could VOTE for maps. I could go on but I know no one really cares. Haha hope this explains it a bit.

i see what your saying but population is hurting due to playlists not being there, well thats my opinion anyways. I understand everything behind why playlists etc… werent there in the beginning but a 6 to 7 month timeline is more than enough to get those playlists permenant now.

im wondering why 343 staff cant just come out and just say what the problems or reasoning is behind their decisions then? Put the community at ease.

guess theres not a dam thing we can do is there…

Why can’t they make team snipers and doubles permanent!! It makes no sense man.

What’s weird to me is that they’ve made only a couple of them permanent BTB and griffball BTB I can see but griffball doesn’t seem any more special than snipes doubles or fiesta

Perhaps they could add another playlist that has these game types in the rotation arena breakout, doubles, snipers & rockets, etc.
I think this would appease the fans without diluting the player numbers for slayer etc too much
As a side note, why do they insist on slayer being in every game type? If people want to play slayer it has it’s own dedicated playlist and know exactly what they are getting by choosing that option

This is more of a corporate decision, and 343 isn’t the only company that has struggled with this line, and I sympathize with both 343 and the community for this.
Essentially, game developers have to walk a tightrope when it comes to the information they release and how transparent they are with their community. If they acknowledge too many faults in the communities eyes (even if there realistically very few) then the community could potentially grab pitchforks and torches over something not so dramatic (it is the internet, after all). If they let the community know about everything they are working on, they risk the exact same scenario when hey have to scrap an idea because, well, it just didn’t work. Gaming communities in general have a tendancy to take the words “testing”, “working on”, “possibly”,“attempt”, and “hopefully” and translate those directly into the word “promise”. When those “promises” are not delivered then, despite the facts, the developers name gets tarnished and consequently looses customers and players.
And yes, those scenarios have occured to other developers.
Basically, developers have to determine what the community wants without unintentionally misleading us or -Yoink!- us off because the internet was, is, and most likely always will be a general post-pubescant consumer machine. No direct offense to anyone, this obviously does not apply to EVERY internet user, but the overwhelmingly vocal portion.

The more playlists, the fewer players for each individual playlist which could cause loads of matching problems.
