Perks, Yes or No?

See Poll.

My opinion is that Halo shouldn’t have perks or load-outs, and go back to the classic competitive nature where the only benefits could be fought for on the map. A level playing field creates a good Halo, just look at the history of Halo… Halo 2 and 3 are revered as the best multiplayer games, not reach, please 343i learn from Bungie’s mistake.

Not just no.
Hell no.

They’re going for sales and addiction. Perks create addiction and makes players want to stick around longer so they can get the next cool thing. Break down CoD and that’s all you see.

But seriously, just wait and see.

Where’s the, “Wait and see, and if it does suck, there’s most likely an option to edit the gametype” option?

Only having good gameplay in customs is not the way to go.

Sure, i can 1v1 my friend without AA’s or bloom all day in customs, but i can’t play that gametype anywhere in Reach. (I need a team for MLG and my friend doesn’t have the anniversary maps)
I can’t play Reach at its best settings in matchmaking. That’s fundamentally wrong.

I’m going to wait and see how it all works before making any judgement on it, rather than freak out about something I have no info on.

Everyone that plays halo should vote on this.

What do you mean by “perks”?

Does this really matter?

Soo… because you dont have good enough friends to play MLG, and your friend cant afford the anniversary maps, Reach is flawed?

Lmao

I’m not voting until I know more.

We don’t even know what these “perks” are yet.

Can’t we all just wait and see before we go voting on a system we know nothing about.

Community, can we stop and think?

Exactly my point!

While we’re complaining about perks, let’s complain about how the new weapons and vehicles in the game are horrible! I despise the new Assault Rifle! And what the hell 343i, why did you make that weapon that sounds cool the way you did instead of a super BR rifle?!

The perk systems I know are from COD and Battlefield 3. Both unbalance the game horribly, it’s really hard to do good levelling system with perk unlocks, and keep it balanced.

Halo 4 doesn’t need it, I just want more cosmetic armour customisation (even in Red vs Blue competitive matches, I should be able to stand out)

What you just stated above will probably happen when the next bit of information comes out.

Let me ask you something. Can you predict the future?

It’s too early for me to say no, I don’t know how they’re going to work, they might be the best thing that has happened to Halo, you never know.

I’m all for perks. I am having lots of fun in the game LoL and I am excited for the armor abilities and possible loadouts for Halo 4 making the game a LoL-like FPS experience.

Considering we know absolutely nothing about “perks”, other than the fact they exist, it’s a little difficult to judge them.
