Perks system dont discredit yet

SO you guys are now discussing perks…

i would like to say that nothing in halo will work like it is in COD.

for instance the perk system could have a trade off like 10% regen 20% weaker shields

more ammo slower reload
faster reload less ammo and such

so my point is don’t judge too soon

From what we’ve heard recently, they work more as Traits/Modifications…

…Really small and almost insignificant adjustments to the basic set-up, but do enough to help Tailor-Make your Load-Outs to compliment your Play-Style…

…But, that being said, we haven’t seen enough to make a full and proper judgement…

> …But, that being said, we haven’t seen enough to make a full and proper judgement…

My thoughts exactly.

I agree that perks should be given a chance. I mean, it will only add to the experience surely, from the sounds of it, one perk is called “Regen” and will supposedly increase regen speed of shield? If it just simple things like , and ammo increase, or stuff like that, it will just add a layer of tactics

And for all the people who go on about trolllll cod stealing … Perks have essentially been a core part of most rpg’s going, call of duty implemented them well into a shooter scenario, so really cod stole from the RPG genre

I assume 343i know what they’re doing, other games like Homefront has perks but still managed to balance it, and even make it a better game then it would have been without them. Perks are so much more then a simple crutch to use if you’re bad, they are tools that allow you to even further customize and specialise a class.
When you play long range, you could use extra regen even if it meant lower shields, while if you run and gun, go for cqc and full frontal assault, a few extra rounds might make all the difference. If Homefront and Kaos could balance perks, Halo and 343i should be able to
