Perks might not even exist

lol no one even bothered to look into it

lol people have been linking to that all day long

Well that sounds good to me. I think people need to stop worrying so much. I believe 343i knows what they’re doing. They understand the balance of Halo and won’t do anything to disrupt that scale at a detrimental level. Don’t worry guys, we are in good hands! At least we should assume that until we get more information…

We still have loadouts to be concerned about though. Honest to God I think Halo 4 looks awesome and at the end of it’s polishing it will be revolutionary to the series but loadouts would ruin Halo 4 all together. They should really clarify this in their next sparkast/bulletin or anything Official.

It’s much ado about nothing really. People just interpreted “character augmentation” as “Armour Lock available in every gametype”. Somehow. I’m gonna hazard a guess that they won’t be the personification of domination, and there will be adequate support for gametypes without them.

That’s even if my assumptions are correct. Which I’m not going to assume.

Minus AL, Camo and Jetpack, I never saw load outs to really be a problem in Reach as long as they kept it to the same weapons you would normally spawn with (and not…shotguns o_0) and relatively balanced AAs like Hologram and Sprint.

It could be interesting to make it so that in 4 when you choose a load out, you can’t change it after you die, as a punishment. >=]

i thought so, i’d been saying this all day. I went through that damn awesome video like 12 times trying to figure out wtf everybody was talking about…

Direct quotes from 343 employees prove they are in the game.

Unfortunately you “people” and 343 think that if they aren’t called perks and you chose them differently they automatically aren’t perks even though they do the exact same -Yoinking!- thing.

Perks are being equated to Halo4 just like “classes” were to loadouts in Reach.

As long as you remember that whatever they are talking about is a set of options that WILL alter a player’s attributes in someway (movement), and that they do not intend to allow weapons to be altered (power).

But I do not know if that means they will allow the ability to change scopes levels on weapons or allow faster reloading. Those are iffy things that do effect a weapon’s power and so doubt they’ll be allowed.

Moving faster, jumping higher, radar HUD elements and armour/health repair times are things I believe we will get to alter for sure.
Definitely need to see what they have in mind because there about 3 ways to things the way it’s been described so far.

Armor is still supposed to affect how your character functions. It doesn’t matter what you call it, it’s still not something I’d like to see in a Halo game.

Call it what you want. It has still be pretty much confirmed there will be elements in game to alter your characters stats or functions. That in my humble opinion will destroy the classic Halo feel even more than Reach did.

However, if they are implementing stuff like this in its own separate playlist category then thats fine.

Maybe do like Competitive, Casual, Ranked and Community tabs with different playlists to choose from in each.

Casual would have the loadouts and all that jazz spread out among different playlists.

Competitive would have things like unranked team slayer, team objective, unranked big team ect(no loadouts, AAs ect)…

Ranked would have things like TS, Team Snipes, SWAT ect (1-50, no loadouts, AAs ect).

Community would have like MLG, Zombies, Action Sack ect…

That to be would satisfy everyone I think.

People didn’t get it from the video. They got the idea that perks were in from the articles that people were reading from different websites.

Way too many playlist. seriously

Ranked and social.

Thats it.

Ranked (No perks or ability)
Social (the added stuff)

Much more simpler.

No its not… its only a few more than we have now and the Reach population is a joke. I mean shoot if having the extra tabs is bothersome then just throw the casual community ones into the casual list and put MLG in ranked. I dont really care how its arranged but either way what I suggested adds like 3 more playlists then what we already have.

So having a billion different tabs is good?

Less is more.

More numbers within a playlist, the better.

That is the problem with reach

Its spread too thin

my opinion though.

sorry edited mine and you responded to quickly! lol

Reach is spread to thin bc there isnt much spread in the jar lol I dont think that would be a problem at least at the start of Halo 4

Everything is good when it’s simple. Halo was simple but now everyone want innovations and they are destroing the balance of gameplay.

If it doesn’t have Perks, Loadouts or Armour Abilities then I’m fine. Seriously, Loadouts?
I doubt that you’d be able to choose what weapons to use at the start of the match, like people running around with Rockets and Snipers.

Sorry but that was my reaction when I saw that. I’m a grammar -Yoink!-.
