Performance Issues

Ever since the last update, Halo 5 has been having a lot of performance issues for me. The game keeps freezing and I keep losing my connections to the servers multiple times every day, in addition to issues with the REQ services.

At first I thought it might be an issue with my internet, but I tested out other online games and they’re all working perfectly. I dunno, to me it just seems like Halo 5 isn’t running as smoothly as it used to. Anyone else noticing this?

FIVE TIMES!! Five times I’ve “lost connection to the server” today!!

Try restarting your internet router / modem. It may take a short while to get that “sweet spot”, but it works very well (for me at least).

Okay, I’ll try that. Thanks man.

Just yesterday I was playing, and I was constantly disconnecting. So, I reset my router and reset my xbox, and when I got back on the game, it magically stopped disconnecting.

I would like to suggest another solution.

If your system is located not too far from your internet router / modem, consider threading an Ethernet cable from there to your Xbox.

All in-game lag is virtually gone, if not, significantly reduced, and apparently (from my friend’s point of view) your mic’s sound quality will be much better.

Surprisingly, whenever I tried the Ethernet cord, there was a lot of lag. Which is really odd because normally the Ethernet cord works flawlessly with Halo 5. I just don’t know what’s up with the game lately. Thanks anyways though man. I like the idea of a better quality sound from the mic, so that’s definitely something I’ll try out once things smooth out.
