Hello,
I was wondering whether there is a notable performance difference between the Xbox 360 Elite and the Xbox 360 Slim of late 2011. (Obviously the game has been installed in the HDD and runs by the DVD)
Thanks,

Thanks,
I think its miner differneces if anything. I do like the fact that my slim isnt really loud. Wirless internet
The slim has a quieter disk drive, that’s it really.
It also can’t get the RROD.

Can’t doesn’t seem to be the right word. I think less likely to get the RRoD is more appropriate.
Besides a quieter disc drive, the new Xbox has little beeps and boops when you push buttons on the console. The kinect also connects differently and doesn’t need the power cord when using the S console.

Nope, it CAN’T get the RRoD.
Really? RRoD is a failure notification. So you are saying that the Xbox is incapable of failing? It may not show the rings, but I’m pretty sure there are a few bad apples of S consoles that will fail just like the original Xbox 360.

He’s right. The 360 (“Slim”) LITERALLY cannot display a “Red Ring of Death”, as it does not have the LEDs to display it. Source: GamesRadar+
Instead, if it has a general hardware issue, it will simply display a red dot. “Red Dot of Death” is more appropriate.

Nonsense. The 360S does have safeguards in place to protect against the major hardware failures that caused the old RRoD. But the overall system architecture hasn’t really drastically changed, and those same components are technically capable of failing.
Obviously you won’t literally get a red ring, because the lights are different, and the Slim may very well be a more reliable console, but it’s not immune to hardware failures.
