So, I’ve played Halo for a long time, but always just for fun and never really trying to improve. Most of the time growing up it was on friends systems, and only within the last few years I got my own system. Within the last 6 months I started actually trying to play a little more regularly and improve. I don’t have an XBOne yet, so I’ve been playing a good bit of Halo 4.
It was just last night that I finally got my first perfection. I was playing SWAT, which makes not dying even more impressive imo. I don’t have the video recorded, but here are the stats from Halo Waypoint for the game: link
I know the people I was playing with and against weren’t very good, but this still feels like quite an accomplishment.
What has been your greatest accomplishment in Halo so far?
Like you, I put a pretty high value on a Perfection. I know that getting one has as much to do with the quality of your opponents as it does with your own abilities, but they’re still THE BEST. I’m annoyed that you don’t get a medal for one anymore. Especially when you see some of the ridiculous things that you can get a medal for. What is up with that?
^ya, hopefully they fix that in Halo 5.
I was recently playing Halo 4 (On the MCC) and won a Team Slayer match with 30 kills and 0 deaths.
The planets must’ve aligned perfectly on that day.
Once on my 360 while playing Halo 4, I entered a Team Slayer on Simplex if I remember correctly, but then I got like 27 kills without dying, I almost did, but luckily I was using my favorite Loadout which consisted with the Assault Rifle, Magnum and the Thurster Pack, the thing that saved my life and helped me accomplish the perfection achievement.

True. The Perfection medal is one of the most valuable medal (in my opinion). I got two perfections in H4, and when it happened, I was sad to see that no medal appeared in the post-game stats. At least, I could save the gameplay.
In H3, I got only 1, but seeing the Perfection Medal in the best three medals was so satisfying…
I hope 343 will bring back the silver hexagon in H5.
