Have they been removed from the game? I got the perfection novice challenge complete notice, but no medal… I need my imaginary medals 
Its a commendation now.
They took out a lot of the skilful medals and added completely pointless ones such as generic kill. They also made sniper sprees easier to attain because you don’t have to get headshots, Reach did something right in that they changed the sniper medals to require Headshots, 343 has undone that change.
Medals feel worthless to me now, there’s no “top medals” at the end of the game and half the medals are require you to do sweet -Yoink- all. They’re also not noticeable during the match, getting over 50 medals a game is more than common, they’re not medals any more.
I agree with you fully, I was pretty sad to not see the medal when I pulled my first perfection off on ragnarok…
It does suck! No perfection medal, no weapon sprees (not that I know of?), and not enough differentiation visually that I can tell the difference between a kill medal and a headshot medal mid-game (that X is freakin’ tiny!).
I do think some of the new medals are quite good, like Snapshot and Guardian Angel and Hail Mary. Medals are all about recognizing players for feats of all kinds. Kills are pretty generic no? So why do they deserve recognition while things of greater magnitude do not?

The medal is still there, it just doesn’t pop up at the end of the game. Which is horribly disappointing.
